It wasn't a glamorous life. The endless days on the road, the late-night rehearsals, the quick-tempered manager... it was lonely and tiring, and sometimes it all seemed so pointless. But then they reached this place, and there was a beautiful old piano backstage... her fingers stroked the smooth inlaid wood and cool ivory, and for a little while, nothing else mattered.

First of all, I absolutely love the outfit ... a man's undershirt and boxers. Very cool. And this little story above is terrific. I love that so many people have done this. It's really made this an interesting thread.

Some of you already have the 1890 New England Upright that this thread was based on, so I'll let each of you choose which piano you would like to have. The pianos are on display at my store in Sanctum Sanctorum, and also in my shop in Plush Beta (banner add at the bottom of this post links to it). Go had a peek and decide which one you'd like, and I'll send it along.

I see the second shot was taken on the piano in Jade Jensen's shop! That lovely cutout behind you is one of my favourite swanky little costumes to wear. I wore it on my birthday last week. Jade's designs are wonderful.

Saw this thread a couple of days ago, and had to post photos, even though the contest is long over -- any excuse to pose for photos in a neat looking place

I'm the goof in the fedora, the lovely flapper girl is my friend Amsel The photos were taken at midnight, so they're a tetch dim.
