What a lovely setting! I had a lot of fun taking snapshots there, it's a very inspiring location.

I keep on meaning to put together some flapper/vamp looks, iRl and in SL, but it never seems to happen...

Here's mine! Very cool place, perfect for posing.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It wasn't a glamorous life. The endless days on the road, the late-night rehearsals, the quick-tempered manager... it was lonely and tiring, and sometimes it all seemed so pointless. But then they reached this place, and there was a beautiful old piano backstage... her fingers stroked the smooth inlaid wood and cool ivory, and for a little while, nothing else mattered. _____________________

Mechanique, those collision box and claw outfits are so cool ... lol. Did you make them?
I love that people have gone offroading with some swanky little prose between the pics. This thread has been a lot of fun to follow ![]() _____________________

But then they reached this place, and there was a beautiful old piano backstage... her fingers stroked the smooth inlaid wood and cool ivory, and for a little while, nothing else mattered. First of all, I absolutely love the outfit ... a man's undershirt and boxers. Very cool. And this little story above is terrific. I love that so many people have done this. It's really made this an interesting thread. Wonderful submission, Ilianexsi ![]() _____________________

And the Winner Is ...

Hi Sue, Did someone get the piana? if so, who? So many great pictures, this was fun to participate in and to see all the other pics! As a matter of fact, they did. I'm giving a piano to everyone who took the time to submit a picture here, and everyone who posed in the picture with them ~winks~ Some of you already have the 1890 New England Upright that this thread was based on, so I'll let each of you choose which piano you would like to have. The pianos are on display at my store in Sanctum Sanctorum, and also in my shop in Plush Beta (banner add at the bottom of this post links to it). Go had a peek and decide which one you'd like, and I'll send it along. I'll be IMing everyone to make sure they know. Thanks, all of you, for making this such a wonderfully fun thread to participate in! Better than I had hoped for. Cheers! Sue. _____________________

Wonderful submission, Ilianexsi ![]() Thanks! I had a lot of fun putting it all together. It was really great to see the variety of pictures and captions posted here. ![]() And thanks so much for the piano, I love it! I've already bought music and thrilled my friends with it. Gorgeous piece of work! _____________________

This thread has been a lot of fun to follow ![]() Yep, both are mine. I think I made the blue swirly one the second week I was in SL. I'd just discovered invisiprims, you see... I figured there was a story behind why a shamelessly digital thing was in this realistically run-down place. Microfiction is fun! |

I got my piano - thank you, Sue! Being a girl with a fishbowl for a head playing ragtime really just sums up Second Life.

I still need the cigarette holder (cute) and a feather for my head! lol Lady, you're looking fabulous as always ![]() I see the second shot was taken on the piano in Jade Jensen's shop! That lovely cutout behind you is one of my favourite swanky little costumes to wear. I wore it on my birthday last week. Jade's designs are wonderful. Baron and I will actually be running another photo shoot contest in a thread here shortly, so keep your eyes peeled, and by all means, keeping posting your pics here if you mug with yer favourite duds. Cheers! Sue. _____________________

Saw this thread a couple of days ago, and had to post photos, even though the contest is long over -- any excuse to pose for photos in a neat looking place
![]() I'm the goof in the fedora, the lovely flapper girl is my friend Amsel ![]() Kudos to Sue for the great piano ![]() CCC _____________________
