Just out of curiousity - Do any of you guys use a tablet? I've been looking into getting one, but not sure if it would help me any.. seeing as I really blow at drawing, but this looks really fun to do. Any suggestions on a type or brand I should start out with that's not uber expensive? Awesome pictures by the way!

Oooooo really cool idea for a thread

Great pics everyone :D

When I saw the balloony chick it reminded me of one I did a while back ... sept he's a guy.. and has hair... yeah.
soooooo
The first pic I did in open canvas and then added an overlay in ps (..still really new to drawing with a tablet). The second is the one I did a while back on paper.

hi kimberly -- i'm trying to get used to one -- still find it a LOT harder than a pencil or brush, but I'm keeping at it...practice makes perfect i figure. I have a wacom intuos and it's great. There was a big thread on wacom versus competitors in the forums a while back, but my take on that thread was that the competition is good, but wacom remains the standard and the best.

Thanks Forseti! Looks like I'm gonna have to get one, though I'd probably have to give an arm and leg just to afford one. What size is yours if you don't mind me asking? :X I'm gonna check and compare prices, But thanks! I really appreciate it. =]

Working on the "better late then never" theory, here's my take on this ancient art freestyle topic.
