Sharing Passwords?

Is it still against the TOS to share passwords?
I ran a series of tests the last few days and concluded the owner of the bots is not contolling them, but is allowing someone else to share the password.
All the bots were offline, as were the group. One person logged on (not the owner), started up the bot, and was responding to land sales, based on sales, set specifically to the bot.

Dude, why don't you just read the tos? It's not very long or complicated. From: tos At the time your Account is opened, you must select a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and are responsible for any harm resulting from your disclosure, or authorizing the disclosure of, your password or from use by any person of your password to gain access to your Account or Account Name. At no time should you respond to an online request for a password other than in connection with the log-on process to the Service. Your disclosure of your password to any other person is entirely at your own risk.
Emphasis added. I don't know for sure but I doubt it has ever been against the TOS to share your password. What would be the point? *Edit: Not that I actually share my password with anyone other than my wife and anyone who is married will agree that it would be utterly absurd to make that against any rules.

Sure, if you like. I also share my debit card pin number, my email password, my bank account, my mortgage, my credit cards, personal and embarassing secrets, hobbies, thoughts, dreams and fears.

OH NOES!! While you are having this little catharsis, what is it about the Abuse Report system that you enjoy bypassing, that allows you to get special treatment? Seems you directly IM a Linden have my scripts pulled for no reason. LL inspected my script, it's fine. So what makes you so special?

Mods! Delete this thread so that none may know of the secret control I have over Second Life. My iron fist shall continue to rule all of this world. Those who challenge my power shall truly rue the day!

"You must select and keep secure your account password" appears right before the quoted passage. What does "keep secure" mean? Same question applies to the emphasized quoted passage "You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password". Maintaining the confidentiality of something sounds more like saying that you are supposed to keep it secret than a way of saying "You can tell anyone this to anyone you want."

Either way I think it's clear that the password's secureness and secretness is my responsibility and not the responsibility of LL.

Easy.
The owner of the bots was offline all day. Then someone in the group logs on, and moments later a bot comes online. I set a parcel to sell directly to the bot, but the groupie shows up (gee, where does she get her info?) ... I didn't set the land to her.

Silly rabbit, the bots report to a database that all my business associates have access to. Don't think this will protect you from the violent fury of my personal henchman Torley Linden though. Torley Linden: Henchwhaa? No, this is seriously not true. I only hench-thing to watermelons. Everyone knows that. Our Community Affairs Team has looked at this; these claims (whether made in jest or serious) are not factual.

Yes, yes that's right. I use the SecondLife database to store my own personal information. I just have a straight connection to the backend where I can run SQL queries and updates.
Really when you're as powerful as me you can just do whatever you like.
It's been laggy lately because I've been trying to update my baseball card collection database that I store on the SL core. BTW don't try to download any textures tomorrow because I'll be uploading my entire music collection to the asset server. I'm making the concierge team fix all the ID3 tags.
As for the AR system, I don't think I've ever complained about any scripts you wrote. I didn't even know you could script. It never struck me as the sort of thing you were capable of. There's a few harassment scripts I've ARd or complained to live help about over the last few weeks. Probably your complaint is about someone else though because I basically haven't been able to log in for the last two or three days due to a hard drive failure. (I'm going to have them shutdown Dreamland and send me some of the computers to replace my broken one)

Well, I have knowledge otherwise, where you specifically are named, by a Linden as the complainant. The person using my script, was notified by a Linden and the script was removed for testing. The script is fine. So my question again is... what makes you so special to bypass the AR system to have scripts removed arbitrarily?

From: Weedy Herbst The person using my script, was notified by a Linden and the script was removed for testing. Ahh, obviously I didn't psychically know that you were talking about a script that you wrote that someone else was using. Yeah, there's a couple of people who are using a script that hammers me with llTeleportAgentHome() requests anywhere within 96ms. I guess you're talking about that. I don't mind being teleported home without warning while on the script owners land, and I only slight care when I'm hit by this script when I'm on a third party's land but it's just too much to be unable to visit my own land because of this harassment. So I've ARd all the ones I come across that block me from my own land. And harassed Live Help a little about them as well. I guess they finally decided to do something about this months long campaign to hound me that you and your friends have undertaken. You will all be taken to my secret lair under the volcano and subjected to spinning blades and lasers moving slowly towards your genitals.

So.... you falsely reported that my scripts use sensor_on and get them pulled. Got you. FYI, I don't use sensor, I use if llOverMyLand(), but it's interesting to know, that you can say whatever, whether true or not and have Lindens rounding up legitimate scripts. I been ARing a bad "land tracker" script for 7 months, which causes me to crash to desktop, but everytime the AR comes back as "resolved", yet it's still in world, causing crashes. So, again.... why do get special attention for making false claims?

Chrissakes Weedy, aren't you even reading what I'm writing? Don't you know WHO I AM!?!?! Prepare to be thrown to the sharks!
P.s. I don't make any claims about how someone else wrote their script, I just report the results I experience. Again, it's possible you're just plain mistaken about this because I've never submitted any complaint that mentioned you by name or referred to any object you own. Perhaps you could publish your script here and we can discuss it's validity or not?

Perhaps you could publish your script here and we can discuss it's validity or not? The rules prohibit me from naming names. The one thing I can tell you is this. The script siezed by a Linden, was set to specifically teleport your group members home. No other avatar keys are specified. Firstly, the person reported to me, that a Linden had removed the script, based on a complaint from your group. Then, after inquiring myself, the Linden confirmed it was pulled. This is a Resident Answer forum, but for the sake of information, here is the code:
key av_name = "insert_key_here";
default { state_entry() { llSetTimerEvent(10) // time in seconds }
timer() { if (llOverMyLand(av_name)) } llTeleportAgentHome(av_name); llInstantMessage(llGetOwner(), llKey2Name(av_name) + " was teleported home from : " + llGetRegionName()); } } }

Considering that script won't compile due to some misplaced braces I suspect it has been hastily editted to do what you claimed rather than what it really does.
