From: Charlene Trudeau The delete prim issue has been ongoing since at least the update prior to this one, it just suddenly got far more noticeable to some people... maybe because the rest is working better?
Well it hasn't became more noticeable to me because the rest is working better, it's became more noticeable to me because it's happening so frequently. However you're right when you say this has been going on since before the update, I noticed how bad this bug was on Tuesday, it's still bad but not quite as bad as it was.

It's all working as good as can be expected for me. There is still the inventory/texture search issue and a couple deleting issues but nothing I can't handle on my old ass computer.
Give it a rest, people!
Good for you, it's not working as good as can be expected for me. I can accept bugs, quirks and complexities. After all beta is a much smaller test than going live, things can and will go wrong. However bringing the grid back live with the asset issues, as they did, is an oversight that they rightly deserve criticism for.

From: Ilianexsi Sojourner I'm happy to see that the texture picker works now, but objects I delete are taking a really long time to disappear, some of my camera functionality (alt + control and up/down arrow keys) no longer works unless I hit escape constantly, and a build I had started on before the update was totally unlinked afterwards. Sigh. Well I'm glad I'm not the only onw who's having the Ctrl+Alt+Up/Down failing to work. And I had one gift bix hang around for over 20 minutes before it finally went away (after re-logging in).

From: AWM Mars You need to kill the graphic in your signature, its stretching the forums pages...
Omg ive been here for a year and had no idea we had signatures here. Just found the option to turn them on in user CP, now kind of wishing i didn`t.

Don't over do it, it ain't all that. There's still plenty of problems even the ones mentioned in the op so there's no reason to celebrate.

I'm having a horrible experience with the new update. Scripted objects not working correctly, prims not rezzing then not deleting when they finally do rez, gawdawful lag, friends list empty when I have friends standing right in front of me, group members list not showing. And a friend of mine lost EVERY prim on his entire island with the exception of two or three random objects. Even the terraforming changed. Needless to say he's quite upset!

Here too, many problems, particularly today.
TPs are iffy, payment systems are acting up, everyone is grey, animations don't work, can't rez a thing, can't wear anything from inventory, can't go into Appearance, ppl are crashing left and right... oh, yes, the usual issues with friend's list and group IMs and notices...
and the killer is...
... not a word about all those issues in the blog!!!

From: alice Pinkerton Ok... #1 Its not stretching on my pages... so thats interesting. Incidently, It was when I was using IE, but now Im using Firefox its fine. Me either, but I always use FireFox too. I agree with the majority...this is more like a *downgrade* than an update. Everything ran a lot smoother last night, and none of the bugs I noticed have been fixed at all. Not to mention the fact that I get more "Gesture Not Found In Database" errors than ever before when I log in. (...and I get logged out after a few minutes every time.)

From: Alazarin Mondrian I came across the 'undeletable' feature last night. Many (not all, thankfully) objects that I attempted to delete doggedly remained in-worl no matter what I tried to do. Still I take small comfort that it's nowhere near as bad as the 1.7 'Grey Life' update. It's an old bug. Once you delete the item, and it remained, Open Edit, and enter all 9's in the Z elevation. Once you orbit the prims beyond a certain altitude they will cease to exist. Angel.

I am mystified by all these complaints. I was noticing the non-deleting-object problem the night before the update. A lot. After the update, thing were a little shaky at first, but it settled down, and today everything is so unnaturally smooth - so far! - I'm wondering if this is still SL.
It is, isn't it?
