Wow, if I hated a game so much, I would quit. I'm glad I don't feel this way.

Besides, how do you know exactly what happened? I think someone at LL is working, I was on the grid earlier.

You know what? This sucks. This is just plain stupid. There is zip excuse for LL not doing this work.

Not that I've seen them offer any. Maybe I've missed it, but I have seen nowhere where LL explains why they set up this procedure and then simply let it wither on the vine, not taking care of the customers who have requested to buy more Lindens.

looking at the complaint.. and the issue at hand.. I have to ask: did you pay your membership fee?

What this looks like to me, is that a premium account holder's payment info was rejected when it was billed. Mind you.. I'm no expert on this situation (I've never been premium for precisely this reason).. but if he was unable to pay the membership fee, his account would be "locked".

Since it was said that the account was created at the end of January.. and it is now a little over a month later.. I wonder if the account was generated with a prepaid visa card, or other such "limited" ACH funding source. When Second Life attempted to bill for the second month (end of February), they debit was rejected, and the account was "put on hold" pending a new funding source.

This can have serious repercussions for the user (and is the primary reason I won't go premium).. if he can't pay within an allotted time, he risks having his assets deleted, and potentially having any lands seized and sold at auction, with no compensation.

So.. in looking at the complaint, and the linden response to what the error message means.. I think this user needs to update/fix/replace his payment information with a source that works. That money has to be available EVERY month.. so you may want to consider prepaying for a number of months in advance (assuming this is still offered by LL).

Idea, I had the same thing happen to me in December and had to call LL billing to get the account reactivated. Once I finally got LL on the phone and talked to a human being it was reactivated quickly. Had I not called them and actually talked to them it might still be deactivated beacuse nothing else worked. Good luck and keep trying, it takes awhile to actually get a real person on the phone.

I just buy 100000 L$ from a Chinese player to use "alipay";(www.alipay.com) to plan to buy my land and build my home in SL.

LL may disable accounts that buy/sell large sums of money on non-approved websites (ie not the official linde exchange). This is in theory to prevent various kinds of money laundering fraud. That purchase may have triggerred their autmatic security checks.

In no other game have I lost inventory and money irretrievably....only this one. Liking to talk with friends on this platform does not mean we have to pretend all is well in LindenLand, nor do we lose our right to express outrage at the misfortunes of others.

Just keep at 'em Idea.. Sometimes it takes repeated calls to get a proper answer. The idea is to be very polite, but persistent. Eventually, they will answer you just to get you to leave 'em alone!

seems odd to pay all those fees and suffer an unfavorable exchange rate "as a test"

Bought lindens off of freind - sold them on lindenx- transfered to pay pal - whith the eventaul goal to buy lindens on lindenX for SL land , etc.

Was something wrong with payment info during this exchange that flagged your account to LL for putting a hold on it maybe?

Makes me wonder about the other Chinese player. Idea, if you remember the other person's SL name, you may want to run it through the people search when SL comes back up. If it doesn't show up either, that may be your answer to WHY.

If it doesn't show up, you may wish to not purchase Lindens outside of the Lindex or the SLExchange's version of it, or the GoM when they are up and running. (Sorry, I don't keep up with GoM news, I heard they might reopen, but nothing more.)

All any of us can do is tell you to keep CALLING Linden Labs. Emails are backlogged and don't stop calling until you get a PERSON, not the machine. Machine's don't always work the way they should and are thus, easy to ignore.
