How can you have a database problem everyday? Either you fix it or you don't. I am picturing Beavis Linden and Butthead Linden with a couple of Commodores and a car battery.

I have a faint recollection of another two guys in a garage, but since I didn't buy stock when I had the chance, I find it too painful to discuss.

Butthead: Hey Dude............I heard Phillip found that supersized diet coke you lost last night!!
Beavis: Yeah? Where? Butthead: On top of that new router we installed yesterday. Beavis: Kewl.........did he save it for me? Butthead: Naw.........he said all the ice melted from the heat of the router. Beavis: Damn!! I'm thirsty...........let's go to Mickey Dee's. Butthead: Sure. But Phillip said for you to wipe the water off the top of that router.....he's tired of buying stuff and having you get it all wet and dirty. Beavis: Kewl............we can bring some extra napkins back to soak it up. |

Two guys in a garage would be an improvement. Things are still majorly screwed up and it seems they have once more prematurely declared the problem "RESOLVED!!!

IT isnt that they are working out of their garage....
02-12-2007 20:40
THe problem isnt the fact that they are working out of their garage, the problem is that they invited the whole freaking city to it with the promises of FREEE Beer
#$#)$#) It really isnt a funny matter, they have growed nearly 400% using a database technology that obviously doesnt scale very well. They need to limit the population UNTIL they can FIX this in my humble opinion. |

The way you get a Database problem everyday is by having your database hacked last July 06,06 or thereabouts. Now, they say "hacked", but I guess that could mean a disgruntled employee or another with access. Could they have the original base code, I don't know, but SL has been under attack since I joined late 2005 and the DB hack was especially damaging and from what it appear long reaching. Remember though, we don kno not ing we have bad puters not smat nouf to kno how dum we b, its your computer, lol.

That iPod was a total fad. iTunes didn't revolutionize the digital music industry now did it? Just because they fix one issue doesn't mean that the next problem won't occur. Anyways, it seems that today's issue was hardware. _____________________

Just because they fix one issue doesn't mean that the next problem won't occur. Anyways, it seems that today's issue was hardware. Fad? Well i would not say that. since they played very good PR head games with people to make them buy it... ![]() Being a Ipod owner i can say yes i did waste my money of that product. And Yes they did create a new and better way play stonen music from P2P networks.. But the Iphone? its suppose to be released in japan 2008 jan here. But already some one has come out with a dual screen cellphone touch screen. Then next generation cellhones here will start their own touch cellphones. NO Apple did not lead the way for this new design the korea SS company did. The unlucky cellphone company in Japan named " SOFTBANK "is the loser here, people are going to spend 50,000 yen ot 440.00 us on a already outdated cellphone next year? Just like the razor cellphone that comapnies have tried to see out here. They failed.......Add The Iphone to the next way of failed. I just hope First look client and shake off the philip linden ways of screwing what works and breaking it and not fixing it....... |

If you are talking about the two guys I think you are talking about a lot of people thought $75 was a hoot to use a US expression. I shorted at $225 one results day and managed not to loose by very quickly reversing the short, going long and not looking at the computer monitor because I did not BELIEVE what I was seeing, Actually wound up making quite a bit but my nerves cracked at around $340 and I sold. To date it just shows how wrong you can be sometimes. (Google) Hence my interest in SL, who knows lightning might strike twice |

At the time, I was too young and too broke to be playing the stock market. (And hand held solar calculators cost $70 US). |
