Broadly Offensive (at least to me):

Linden Labs putting out thier poorly written statement in the blog, Keeping Second Life Safe, Together, and then attempt to hide it from the login screen by posting 5 other non-issues on top of that. And yet, with the current issues of passwords being all jacked up and such..do you hear a peep out of them about that. (searches the blog)...I see nothing, NOTHING.

One thing about Linden Labs is thier consistancy of being inconsistant..Oh well.

More things that could be on the list:

Guns

Casinos

Dancepads

People who come in SL as their RL selves.

People who come into SL as a different race, age, weight or height to their RL selves.

People who come into SL as the 'City chic male' avatar

Badly built creations

Ad farms

Giant tree screens that hide ad farms

RL religions in SL

RL politics in SL

RL commerce in SL

Lag

Missing textures......

The list is endless - whatever you do will be disapproved of by someone!!!

On a more serious note, is there a policy on streaming radio that plays music with offensive or hateful lyrics?

Turn it off. Change the channel, whichever is convenient. but it is an interesting thought. Will some landowner or club owner get nicked for playing something on their land someone else doesn't like? I sometimes listen to Irish music that can have a certain Political Slant to it. Will I get AR'ed by some "Bloody Moralist*" who happens to be passing by?

*Edited to avoid Broadly Offending.

What is broadly offending, is unwarranted search and seizure.

If a foreign government has probable cause to believe there is something sick going on in my sims, I'll fully cooperate and more.

But if even a foreign government wants to search the Caledon sims without probable cause, they can bugger off.

Harrassing people without probable cause is a bannable offence in Caledon and violates our code of avatar rights.

No matter what rules the grid eventually ends up with, our right of freedom from unwarranted search and seizure will stick.

I don't care what RL goverment you might represent, anyone trying to witch hunt in Caledon will get banned.

That's a promise.

The term 'bloody loyallist' is itself ofensive to many Irish people and should be retracted..

I find communism very offensive. But as long as they keep to themselves and don't try to start the global people's revolution, let them talk. In open debate the commies lose every time.

Nah. Communism is SO last millenium...

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Right I went to Robin Linden's office hour today. She tried very hard to answer us, when you see the minutes there are going to be some fireworks I'd imagine because basically the only thing that was defined was extreme violence being the sort of extreme content you might find on rotten.com

Besides that, Robin had the guts to admit she couldn't answer some of the questions because she honestly doesn't know the answers. This may not be the answer people are looking for but I for one admire her honesty there.

I'd have to question their initial blog posting then if they aren't any more prepared to state what the answers are. THEY made the statement and if there's no more forethought into what offensive behavior is defined as, then why post? Why make the vague statement to begin with? Was it to force panic? Was it a ploy for some legal war going on with certain lawsuits? Was it just to see what 10,000 hits to a forum posting would look like? Was it to see exactly how those with a voice and an opinion use it?

Linden Lab, you've heard it before, you will hear it again. Get your act together! Stop shooting from the hip and get organized prior to any company statements. Robin should never be in a position of answering questions that she doesn't know the answer to because you all haven't "decided" what is obscene, graphic, or unacceptable. We half expect you to treat your customers this way, but your employees?

You need to watch that Video of Dan - Its sounds like hes opinionated and speaks off the cuff.

After watching it the irresponsibly worded Blog post made perfect sense.
