Middle of last year, LL went on a "IP Protection" spree that targeted fantasy sims with even the remotest hint of Tolkien (and other famous fantasy author's) IP. Many folks got those letters, and even sim names had to be changed
Arising from that, I really wonder if Linden Lab has the right to use the legacy avatar name Tardis. To the best of my knowledge this belongs to BBC Enterprises, who are normally quite zealous in protecting the name of The Doctor's intergalactic policebox since they do make quite a lot of money out of licencing people to use it for toys and games.

Anybody remember when Electric Sheep was going to do a Star Trek sim in SL? It was right after CBS sunk a few Mil into the Sheepsters. That idea evaporated quicker than the "New Forum in October" (tm)
