I don't know, but if so, there might be two possible causes:
1) For some residents at least, some textures load more slowly than before. Signs with text on them seem to remain blurry longer than with the previous version. 2) In Search --> Places and Popular Places, locations in Mature regions are filtered out by default (the opposite of the previous version). |

Ive noticed an unusual slowness on my sim, havent checked sales.
I believe the cause is because when searching "all" it keeps unchecking "mature"! F`ers. |

Yes, I've noticed a substantial drop in sales volume since the update. I've also noticed a drop in the number of concurrent logins. Maybe LL has succeeded in breaking things bad enough to drive most of their customer base away.

Well, I know that DmC/Slingo games won't complete, that redline and low fps is making me nutz as well as making my Second Life a non-happy experience at this time. BTW your products rock.. any new goodies coming? |

Maybe they should change the name to "Last Look".

its the mature button. Since my stuff is not all mature and I have stuff in a pg region I unchecked the mature box on an ad and placed a 50L pg ad for another place. 10 minutes later I had traffic in those areas and sales.. so yeah its the viewer and the mature button not being checked in by default.
I'm actualy not sure why i check in the mature button at all cause my stuff isn't "mature" in that respect anyhow yeah its the viewer button. I guess i checked in mature for places where I am on a mature sim? I can't remember my logic there was a reason at the time though? Anyhow since mature pulls up PG stuff and mature stuff there is your solution. Of course this doesn't work well if you sell sex toys but.. |

I'm still getting traffic and I have vendors in places that have very high traffic and normaly high sales. People are still finding me, they're just not buying which makes me think it has more to do with textures not loading. I've noticed that the world stays either gray or blurry for alot longer in the new viewer.
Lets just hope that they get it sorted out in the next update or shopping as we know it could be a thing of the past in SL. Vale _____________________

Yes.
Same amount of traffic but slower sales. Rezzing is really slow lately, maybe that has something to do with it? |

Well sometimes you will just have slow days. They typically dont concern me unless it does it 2 days in a row.
People wont always buy your products, sometimes theyll come in and either dont like it, dont have the money right then, or whatever their reason. but yeah, the mature thing I believe is playing a role. Even sometimes when I just relog in mature is magically unchecked. I read some conversation awhile back and some residents were saying they suspected LL to be pushing for all PG land. Maybe this is an aid for them. Because if this isnt fixed and my sales are still low im going to have to change to PG. |

The decrease of concurrent users maybe is explained also by the difficulty many face with the new viewer. Yesterday i crashed and freezed at least 20 times with the new viewer, at a time that things had beens stabilized a bit with the previous one. So now i just went back to the old version of viewer which works far better for my laptop at least.
All this mess maybe explains also the drop in sales, since many if they can't move or lag, they just can't go shopping or do anything. |

Yes the Mature checkbox being unchecked as default since the new viewer, search for places don't show places in mature regions. Even if you set your parcel as not mature, it's the region that rules. A lot of places aren't found by default unless you tick the mature content n the search for places, and a lot of newbies might not know that. Worse is the fact it was checked by default, the change had brought a lot of people to think of a bug in search.
Maybe this will make PG regions more valuable. |

If sales and concurency really are down, why hasn't there been a significant drop in US$ spent in the past 24 hours on the SL homepage? You think maybe they're just making those numbers up?

Real decrease in sales volume here too on the day of the update, slowly recovering now. I do think it has more to do with textures loading slowly and repeated crashes with the new viewer than with the Mature box gone unchecked by default in the Search window.

Definite drop in traffic and possibly sales.
I have a new business and sales are still quite modest, so I often track my "success" by number of LM requests. For awhile I was getting a steady rate of requests and sales, then big dropoff for the last few days. Given that my business is marginal, with a narrow niche market, the recent login problems have probably hit me a lot harder than larger businesses with a wider consumer pool. Now, I can't log in either, which means no new product development to help make up for slow sales. Sigh. _____________________

I have a small business, and can verify that in the last couple of days, traffic is down... in my case, by 50%. That said... crossing fingers... sales are steady.

I suffered a substantial 80% drop in sales on Wednesday when the new viewer was released. On Thursday I changed my sim to PG and sales have been steadily growing. They are still not back at previous levels, but I am hopeful that by the weekend things will have returned to normal.
I really feel for people with stores on a mainland mature-rated sim. At this point, the only solution is to move. _____________________
