Point of advice: never, ever..EVER set your land for sale to anyone, for a low price unless you really mean it. Negotiate with someone for the sale face to face, then set to sell to only that one person.

Yes they are legal. That land is gone if it was relisted by LandBa--on Merl-n. If someone else got it, like the Ninjaland group, you can IM the group owner. They give back mistakes. See this thread.

Bots can buy your land from halfway across the sim so you never see what hit you, but nice thought. When I had some land I wanted to get ride off (I could buy some land in the sim where I have my house, but I didn't want to raise my chair) I placed it for sale... not that cheap I thought, but it seemed cheap enough for the bots.... I wondered why about 10 avatars popped up on my land and dissapeared again. I didn't realized what happened until the money arrived... I went as "Darn, my land is already sold!!!" I have to say it was kinda funny to see those avatars pop up from nowhere ![]() Morwen. |

I had a bunch of plots for sale for a couple of days, I finally dropped the price down to a lower then average number, came back in 15 minutes later and all of the plots were sold, some even had items on them (houses, cars) hehe |

"Warning - Landbots will swoop your land if your not careful and we dont have to conscious to stop them." That should do it. |

Hmf.
Land sales, by default, should be 1-day auctions. Let the damned landbots try outbidding each other, leave the auction open for 24 hours. If the owner realizes they made a mistake, they can put a bid in themselves (which will go into their own pocket, so who cares how much they have to bid). _____________________

that could lead to an interesting new sport.
Bot Baiting. Basically someone owns a whole sim, they make a 512 in the very center. They have automated killbots throughout their sim as well as bombs whatever people use to kill these days. So many its just an instant deathrap. Leave the land damage enabled. Set the 512 for sale at landbot level .. Then just blast the bots as they show. People could even have competions and keep score. |

I think landbots are annoying but legal just like the jerks that hover on eBay and bid at the last second. Hate the game not the player! _____________________

I think landbots are annoying but legal just like the jerks that hover on eBay and bid at the last second. Hey, there is absolutely nothing wrong, morally or otherwise, about sniping on ebay! That's the only way I have ever purchased anything on ebay. I wait for the item to go into it's last minutes and I know what my max buying price limit is... and I enter it. If the previous highest bidder really wants the item, they would have entered a price higher than the one I just attempted sniping with... and they end up getting it anyway. Everybody has the ability to snipe. Landbots are a different thing altogether. Most people don't have access to landbots. The playing field is very lopsided. Then there are the landbot owners that don't give back land when mistakes happen. That is wrong. It's like when the store has drastically mispriced an item... can you really expect the store to honor that price? (yes, i know some people do but I think they're idiots) |

Just make sure you send him to the "Landbot Running Man" sim when it's up and running! ![]() _____________________

Landbots are wrong. And bad. There should be a new, stronger word for landbots. Like badwrong, or badong. Yes, landbots are badong.

And the fun thing is, it could apply to any kind of evilbot, with a little creative thinking. (BTW is it possible under TOS to crash the client computer running the bot too? This needs exploring!) |

The thing is I knew how to do this, but as we all KNOW, SL is tricky and my sim is lag hell!! And clicking buttons dosent always work LOL
The lag was hell and before I could sell to the named person, AHEM...ME!! LOL lets just say I got screwed by lag, next thing I know it was sold. I had 3 ppl with me on my land and no one saw a bot. Yesterday I got an IM from another land owner on the same sim and the same thing happened to her, same day same time. I did IM the ppl who did this and got no reply, as a matter of fact the land was sold to another person. So I KNOW these land bot ppl got my IMs to plese return my land with an explination as to what happened and if not pls jsut pay me my fair asking price. I also reported them, hey I had to try right *giggles* what really.. really gets me, is I am a paid acct and the ppl with the land bot are a free acct gaining money without paying to play. No I have nothing against free accts, I used to be one LMAO! But I do have a problem with what I consider thieves. I know I cant name them, But THEY know who they are lol. I am more upset the I could not talk to a linden and let them know if the sim had not been lagging, I could have done this with NO Problem, as I have done it many times before. I got SL LOCKDOWN and paid dearly for it. Most of the time I embrace the lag, this time I got royally screwed by it....without dinner and a movie!!! PFFFFT!! |

Which sometimes crashes the client accidently. It will always be legal to kill someone in a damage sim. - I "think" this is how it works. I was killed at Pixel Mode once when Tya had the damage on. It would be more cool if s bot killed respawned at a designated place in the damage sim. A place equiped it killbot lazer deth rays. |
