Sweet Harris and UnderTaker Backbite dont rent from these people they will take your money and ripe you off. I rented a shop from them at ocean city plaza at Trouble and I have written them 3 times and they never written me back and come to see the place is now gone as well. I learn a big lesson today.

I am sorry that happen to you but for your own protection and not to get into trouble with mods you should probably edit out their names.
There some nice people out there who will host shops for very little money to none.
If you want some help I got can let you use spot of mine for no money, I just accept donations.
Look for me in world if you're interested.
Thing is you're going to need to attract your own traffic.

Hi Nikkipooh, as FD has pointed out .. and someone in your post yesterday too, please do not name names in your forum threads. It is against the rules and may well get your threads locked. Ignoring these warnings may get you banned from the forum.

Abuse Report them in-world for sure but you will not be allowed to stay here if you don't obey the forum rules.

I also hope this experience will not dissuade you from continuing in SecondLife. As FD points out, there are many nice people who can and will help.

I'm glad you named them. Hopefully saving someone else from losing their monies.

Yeah, name and shame is the way to go I think. If the 'accused' are innocent then they can respond within the forum accordingly.

Sure. If they read the forums, or someone bothers to tell them about it. ;)

I had a store @ Trouble/Ocean City for quite some time. I never once had an issue with Undertaker or any of his mgmt. crew...

Maybe something is up in RL? Obviously not much can be done right at the moment while the grid is down to even take a look...

I would however take their names out of your post...

Just wanted to be a part of this thread before it was locked for naming names. :)

As long as we are naming, do not buy land from Landbaron Merlin. He steals mistakes and does not give them back!!

There is something seriously wrong with expecting anyone who is innocent to respond in the forums, when probably less than 5% of SL users ever even read the forums on a consistent basis, and things scroll off the front page so fast that even someone who does come here once a week will probably never see any relevant threads.

"Name and shame" is a useful and somewhat effective technique in RL situations where we can get a determination of guilt from a court and the accused can be made aware of the public shaming.

Otherwise, it's just naming names and spouting accusations, and shouldn't be tolerated on the forums.

Agreed, unless you are shaming Landbaron Merlin. :D

Since I have seen him explicitly admit to his "crimes", I can agree with that one :)

This is odd.

There was a recent spam of messages saying to avoid accepting an object from one of the people mentioned above, because it would take your money.

I loathe these messages. What they should say is when an object requests permission to take your $Lindens, NEVER ACCEPT unless you know what you're doing and who you're doing business with and why this is happening and what you'd do if things went wrong.

As far as I know, there's no exploit allowing implicit permission to take money.

I'm beginning to suspect something fishy here, but I'm not sure eactly which party is the fish.

You just reminded me. Last night, I got an in-world message to not accept a dance script that was being offered free as it would take all your lindens. Even the dj at the gig I was at read it out.
As you say Learjeff .. never accept gifts from strangers :(

I'm still looking for a solid answer on whether landbots count when it comes to naming names. If they're just bots, does that mean it's okay to name them, because they don't have feelings?

Every dispute has two sides. Usually the people who are least morally in the right are the people who make the most public noise about the "outrages" they've suffered too.

Yes, but infact as I recall he gave quite a good explanation and justification for his actions here on this forum. He didn't deny what he did; he denied that what he did was wrong. Personally, I can't help admiring his business acumen, and went away from the forum agreeing with him.

That depends on who you would rather trust. Somebody called Nikkipooh or somebody named Backbite lol
