The older I get the less sleep I seem to need. I go to bed usually around 1 and get up around 6. Or 5.

It is past my bed time now. I always go to bed past my bed time, trying to hang on to a few more seconds of conscious off time. However --

Good night all.

When I'm too tired to brush my teeth, its time.

This is how the eye works - it reacts to light from any source, not just a computer monitor. It follows, therefore, that we should lie down and keep our eyes closed for two hours before going to bed.

Problem is I can't keep my eyes closed lying down for more than 10 minutes without falling to sleep :)

I guess if you lie on hot coals that might work.

Or you could just spend 2 hours foreplay exploring your partners body with your eyes closed :)

Usually about 10.30-11ish. But I like to be up early. If I'm on SL though and I'm having a late one, it's probably when I find myself dribbling over the keyboard.

I'm not accountable for anything between 11 PM and 4:30 Am. That would be the result of sleep typing.

What's a good time to go to bed?

All sorts of factors. Between being a morning person, physically needing 7-8 hours sleep a night because of health issues, and evening meds that act as tranquilizers it is rare for me to be awake after 10-11 in my time zone.

"Second Life: An hour a day is too much..and twelve hours a day is never enough"

Lately I've been having this problem where I sneak on for a new minutes in the morning to "check on a few things" and before I know it, I've been on for many hours and my whole day is shot...so, the best time to go to bed is right after I throw my computer out the window...

When I drag myself bleary-eyed out of bed in the morning, I swear to myself that I will be in bed no later than 10pm tonight. ...

10pm rolls around, and there is just way too much interesting stuff going on to go to bed now. ...

... and so it goes.

11pm for adults.
After that the body starts some complex metabolic functions that requires the body to be asleep. I'm not familiar with it since I'm not a biologist or anything, just what I read from lots of sources.

What's a good time to go to bed?

Because of what I do, my bedtime is unpredicatble. It can vary from 8.30 pm to 3.00 am in a matter of days. having done this kinda thing since I was 15, I think my body clock is totally crewed. I often wake in teh night - four am. is common. I may actully work out at that time and do a whole session of cardiac or running. Then coffee. It can get worse than that. I email or phone then.

Travelling also messes me up. So I have to be acreful not to fall for sleeping potions. I think that started me drinking on teh slide. A nightcap to sleep was a simple way to knock myself out.

I dont always sleep in my bed. My living room has exciting views of a lake and I can almost reach out and touch it so I sleep on my couch with irish wool blanket thrown over me. Or I'll sleep on the floor on a persian . I am really comfortable on the floor. When I was 15 I slept on the floor for an entire year wherever I went.

I can actually go to bed right now in real but I am sleepy-through-to-three at present mood so will answer forum for a while and youtube myself to bed.

Thinking about this, I dont think I have had a full night real rest since I was 13 - sometimes, I am so tired my head wobbles and boils but its what I must do is what I must do and sleep can come later.

I'm going to bed now. Its cold here tonight.

Well, look after your eyes guys, I couldn't say for sure but I suspect my long hours online, shortage of sleep and excessive cola intake had a bit to do with my glaucoma. Some studies have shown dramatically increased risks for people who spend more than 8 hours at a monitor a day.

Glaucoma slowly creeps up on you you just gradually get blinder as your eye nerves are destroyed, it can't be fixed, but can be halted just by eye drops.

I lost 30% vision in my left eye, it's like permanent fog, my left eye is only good enough for me to walk around without walking into walls, I can't read with it or trust it whilst driving. Luckily only lost about 5% in my right eye.

Speaking rationally, I think 10-11pm is an ideal bed time - I'm naturally an early riser and I like my sleep. However SL has modified my times and I tend to go to bed around midnight and feel a bit tireder in the mornings.

It's a rug! I lie on a rug. Actuallu the one I sleep on is really more a kilim. Anyway, as you can see I'm up after 5 hours sleep. Now my day begins.

Well, that seals it better than a DNA test. I did too, but I was precocious and started that habit at twelve or so. Only at our weekend and summer home though. I found it very good for my back, and caused less accidents when I got up and went for a stroll.
