From: Wiseguy Capra Like I said in my first post I don't care much about it. Since I did not own one casino or any place that make smoney from gambling. And sorry if not everyone reads the forum to see what will be banned or not. Does one really have to read the forum every day and the blog on top only to know what is going down?
I believe the blog would have been the right place to announce this in a fasionable time and not the forum. that would be like asking a stock broker nto to read the wall streat journal or to not get info on his stocks if you are going to invest money into something you go everywhere possible to do research..blogs...forums....web pages...everywhere you can get info about what you are investing into i mean come onnnnn

From: Deep Tenk By way of example, here are just a few in-world business occupations which Residents founded and currently run, and make part or all of their real life living from. Try searching for these categories via the in-world Find menu:
party and wedding planner pet manufacturer tattooist nightclub owner automotive manufacturer fashion designer aerospace engineer custom avatar designer jewelry maker architect XML coder freelance scripter game developer fine artist machinima set designer tour guide dancer musician custom animation creator theme park developer real estate speculator vacation resort owner advertiser bodyguard magazine publisher private detective writer gamer landscaper publicist special effects designer gunsmith hug maker
Not one sentence in there suggest or even alludes to "Come to SL! Become a Casino owner! Make moneyyyyyyyyy!!!"

From: Wiseguy Capra Does one really have to read the forum every day and the blog on top only to know what is going down? The forums are provided as part of the community package to us from Linden Lab. If you choose not to participate regularly, then you only have yourself to blame, not them. Broccoli

When Linden Lab changes a particular policy you have two options: Adapt or die.
In the event of death please do so quietly as it upsets the dead horses while they rest up for their next beating.

Put some money down to hire a lawyer to sue Linden Labs. As soon as you show Linden Labs' documented agreement to guarantee your gambling business in perpetuity, you have a slam dunk case that might win enough money to cover the first three seconds of what your lawyer billed you to take the case (because this is a case that no lawyer would take on a contingency basis). And when you win your lawsuit you can laugh at the poor sods who over-invested in their gambling businesses without any guarantees or insurance, and are stuck with salvaging what they can after receiving notice of the policy change and reasonable time to comply. From: Deep Tenk Will this take effect immediately? Will there be reimbursement involved for virtual casino owners? * It will take effect immediately. * Second Life Residents are responsible for their own behavior and compliance with the policy. * There will be no reimbursement if Linden Lab removes objects or activities that violate this policy
You didn't have to remove any of my machines and they have been down since the 1st notice came out about the ban... So where is my reimbursement????

And be sure to have all the tax returns in which you claimed said money as earnings so you can put Uncle Sam on the lawsuit wagon.
