Hi,
I am a student in an engineering school, and I am leading a survey about webcam software used by instantaneous emailing software like msn messenger or skype.
This survey counts about ten questions
This link will lead you to the survey : http://kahlan4.free.fr

Oh dear.

Sweetheart, no surveys. Especially not surveys that have absolutely nothing to do with SL. And super-ultra-mega-especially not "student" surveys that are nothing but thinly disguised market research.

Darling, you have spammed us.

I'm really student, you can search for Ecole des Mines d'Ales... ( In south of France)
It is a project for my school. If you don't trust me I can't do anything against.

Have a good day

Worse. It's a way to try to get to see women naked. You'll have to pay for that.

What does your survey have to do with Second Life?

Could you quote me a ballpark figure?
You know... just for curiosity sake.

Ballpark? OK...let's take Fenway. One Linden for every seat in the park.

It's about a software for IM , and I want to know your opinion about this kind of software.

Would you like to have an avatar on msn who smiles when you smile, who follows your facial expressions

No. I don't use MSN, or Skype or Yahoo or any of them.

I'd like an avatar to smile when I smile, to follow my facial expressions, to laugh at my jokes, to hold hands and take long walks on the beach, to drink coffee with me at Cafe du Monde and watch the sun rise over the city . But, alas, it is not to be. I am doomed to an eternity of loneliness and woe.

But to answer your question: Pie.

I might not mind that. Sounds kinda cool. If your survey was about Second Life and not other chat clients, I might even take it. But this is the Resident Answers forum, for Second Life. We don't know from MSN, Yahoo and those. :p (well, we may know, but it's not a SL question, so can't figure out why it's in the SL Resident Answers forum) Perhaps MSN or Yahoo has a venue for this kind of question?

Well then, I'd be glad to tell you that, here, without taking the survey. Yes, it would. Depends on the complexity of the webcam though. But in general, yes.

I would love having my SL avatar mimic my facial expressions.

Er, I think. I don't want her to start chewing the air because I'm having a snack in RL. Or picking her nose. Or turning her head to talk to someone who isn't there.

On second thought, probably not.

How many seats in Fenway? This might be a bit cost prohibitive. Any chance we could get a two for one deal?

No, I'm still not interested. I don't own a webcam, nor plan to, nor do I want to be connected to my avatar in any physical sense. That's too creepy for me.

My laptop has a webcam built in, I"ve used it once or twice. When my husband is out of town, we chat on it sometimes. I'd love to be connected to my avatar. I'll probably beat Argent to be the first one to click the 'fully upload conciousness' button the day the beta becomes available, and leave RL, for good........ :D

But, again . . . what does this have to do with Second Life?
