The Customer Support people specifically told me I was not eligible for the signup bonus. I wasn't particularly concerned about the house, and I know it's only a few dollars worth, but it was and remains a scam. Support is very clear that, even though my character was a basic character of less than one month old, and followed the signup link in the email, I was not eligible. They stated this several times. And no, I haven't received any bonus.
I posted again (post #39) since the post of mine that you quoted. I spoke with live chat myself and came away with a different view.

There has been a change in policy and basics will get the bonus if they upgrade:

I wonder if they've let the support team know yet because that's where the frustration comes from - support saying it's only for new accounts.

I think they have now, there were a couple of out of date knowledgebase documents that they should have now corrected.

My pea brain read the offer for "new accounts"...........meaning "new premium accounts". To me that would be the logical conclusion since upgrading from basic to premium is creating a new account.......a new premium account. My bet is that whoever wrote up the email offer thought the same.......it's a definition of what is new I guess.

No matter, my bet is that in 45 days from the creation of this new premium account everyone (including years old basic accounts) will get this $L1000 bonus and the house. It does appear that someone dropped the ball on keeping the live support folks up to speed......but that happens in every business from time to time.
