Hey guys...
I've got a problem -
I can't log in to SL for 2h.
And I there's no known problem (blog / status) ...
I also dinstalled SL and installed it again ..
The Beta Version works - the other, regular Version doesn't.

Has anybody else this problem..?

Yes, I have had quite a few login quirks lately. Sometimes I get an error message; sometimes it takes 5 minutes to login. You can try this. On the login screen; press the Preferences button. Go to the Network tab, and clear the cache. Close the SL program, reopen it, and try to log in again.

tyvm - but it won't work either. I'm trying for 5h to log in. Error!
Is it possible, that it's caused by my membership? I'm here since one month, exactly. And I'm no Premium member at all. No, I upgrated my acc to Premium an hour ago, but it's still not working.. I don't know what's going on..
SL crashed 5hrs ago and is still not logging in... that's crazy.

I came to SL at 2nd of February 2007 and u?
I see ure registred in February, too - maybe it's really caused by the membership.
If we have to upgrade to Premium before we're here for one month, someone should tell us! I upgrated my acc to Premium - it doesn't work now either. Is it too late? Maybe our accounts aren't useable again ...

Arghh.. someone should post and help us :/

You don't need a Premium account to login to the grid. The Lindens have stated in the past that they may throttle the login usage giving priority to those with Premium accounts or accounts that have payment info on file. I see no notice of them doing that at this time though. I can get in, but it is so slow that I'm not going to try logging in for a while. Sundays are notorious for being the most problematic days of the week. Keep your eyes on the official Linden blog as they may address this issue soon. http://blog.secondlife.com/

Yeah - but I CAN'T imagine that it's impossible to log in even if I try 5hrs long every 2-5mins again to login! That's too much. In 300mins there has to be one chance to log in, if it's possible for my acc. Well.. 6hrs.... in 30mins 7hrs, when I check the clock.
That's NOT usual -.-

Hopefully there'll be somebody who knows what to do or what's wrong.
I don't believe that it's just because of it's Sunday or something like that.
I am now Premium-Member, I have payment infos etc - and I can't log in..
So, Gray, this can't be serious ... sorry.

I just noticed something Sophie. You say that your game crashed before this problem. Sometimes when crashing, the server does not log your name out completely. Are you getting the error message that says: "Your account will not be available until such and such a time."? Usually it says in 5 minutes. I will try getting in and instant messaging both your name and Yuriko's. They say that can work sometimes and effectively logs out a screen name in limbo. Give me 10 minutes please.

I sent you both instant messages in world to try and make the system realize your accounts are logged out if that is the problem. I also sent a Help Request for you both and told a Linden of your situation. She reminded me that since you are posting in the forums, your payment info was already on file, and you would not be affected by a throttled login anyways. lol silly me. I am awaiting a response from her to see if there is anything else that can be done at this time.

Sophie, are you in the UK? If so it could be your isp. A lot of UK ones are actually limiting broadband usage at peak times without informing us. I have found that evenings between about 5 and 10 I can only login via the First Look viewer.

Same problem over here at the moment.

We live in holland, played all morning over here. At the moment it is 17.30 local time CET.

Can't seem to log in anymore, my friend can't either.

Are there any Lindens awake at the moment? We're paying for this accounts. This isn't fun. At least post something at the Blog.

*sigh* Poor Sophie. Still can't log in? The Linden I was talking to about your situation left the session when I asked her if there was anything else that could be done for you....so I took that as a no. lol I imagine you are using the regular viewer to log in right now. There is another viewer you can try; it is called the First Look viewer. Download it Here. I must warn you; it is an experimental program to access SL with. I figure since you want to get in so badly and have tried everything else, it wouldn't hurt to try it. Read about the bugs in this viewer Here.
