We've been getting some inappropriate refernces to goings on here lately. Holocaust. 9/11 and I think we can expand on it. Use this thread to draw your favorite outrageous comparisons. Here are some of mine:
The American Revolution: The residents unhappy about paying into the system yet not having a voice in it's Governing.
The French Revolution: Certain Cultured types living in thier big mansions looking down on the peasants and their filthy ways.
The 1956 Hungarian Revolt: An oppressive governing body taking hold, and the citizens resorting to whatever means they have to fight back, even if it is trowing rocks at tanks. (Tiannimen Square can be used here as well as in the end China is gonna rule the workd anyway)
The Borg Invasion: You will be assimilated. (OK not historical, at least not yet) Discuss. Have fun. I have to get my car washed, I'll be back later.

The moon landing. Filmed on a Hollywood sound stage. So it was an illusion, just like SL or wait is SL real and RL an illusion?
Dang I have a head ache now.

You forgot the first real conspiracy: The World is Really Flat!
And we in North America are just living in a huge virtual realty. And now we are being fed bread and circuses.

Virtual reality is nothing new. What is religion if it's not a form of non-electronic virtual reality?

Ever Yours,
Mrs. Showdog Tiger Awwww, I thought it was Tucumcari! They have such lovely cows there. I had a prize winning Heifer named Eva Maria Alonza Maria Guadalupe Vasquez, that was back when my name was Cowshow Pixie though, and the aliens came and.... Well anyway, I guess those "moon rocks" that Lefty sold me were really just cow chips.

Corporofacists! Actually from "Why we fight" it was supposedly, originally the "Congressional Military Industrial Complex", which is far more descriptive and damning. Of course here, we have the Linden Marketing, Legal, Support and Development Complex. -- Tired of having to sit in the back of the teleport bus.

He intends to use it benignly, and at first and it is. But then lower people in higher places than he get wind of it and want to use it's power to achieve their own evil goals. DR Phil resists at first , quite strongly but eventually succumbs to the dark side and gives the Powers the secret to Second Life. Now it is in their hands, a mere shadow of it's intended self ready to be unleashed on whoever gets in the way. And somehow the Germans get involved too.

-- Tired of having to sit in the back of the teleport bus. There's Support here? I know there used to be Live Support, then there was support via email, but now you're suppose to contact someone named "portal" which seems to be a bigger black hole than the aforementioned.

my analogy would be the Garden of Eden after the snake tricked Eve into eating the apple and King Phil kicked them both out of the garden for getting their party on.
