I quite like some bots - particularly dancebots in clubs. They might be dumb, unsung heroes, but they are perhaps more truly immersed in SL because they don't really have an RL personality behind them - OK, someone registered them and chose their appearance, but once logged in they're 100% virtual.

I will be 80 and getting my second wind. That's what Pip/Philip/Phillip Rosedale is working on -- Second Wind. A RL bot connected to the grid will morph into the avatar one is interacting with. No poseballs. It's all tactile feedback. It's the next generation of teledildonics. ETA: Apparently the early models look and move like noobs, but they're working on enhancements. _____________________

That is true, they may feel that way about you. But they can't act on it. As their creator, you'd have built into them, a prohibitive, they cannot hurt or kill you, and must always be respectful, or, say nothing at all. Cannot disrespect you to others either, must always honor you. _____________________
