I'm in the same situation. Lower neighbour started out with give 'em the boot balls, which through me for a loop everytime I took one step off my own land. Then dumped massive pines in front of my porch, etc, now its ban lines.

I've discussed my ANs treading on my view till I'm blue in the face, and while he's generally been accomodating, it lasts for a mere day or two before he does something else stupid to ruin it for me - and this guy ain't no noob either, so no excuse there.

I think people just need to get over themselves wrt to fake privacy. Ban lines or not, you can take a virtual tour through any dwelling given proximity to it.

Personally, I made a red tape tattoo to cover myself with and gonna hover my nekkid ass off his deck next time he's out there with his virtual-gf to make my point....mebbe send a postcard of an intimate moment from inside his "secure" house too.... I've tried the nice approach, but this guys either too thick or just an ass. We shouldn't have to beg and plead with people to be neighbourly.

Offer to buy your neighbour a security system that keeps people not on an access list off his land. These can be had for L$1 each now (check slexchange for black box security).

Just be aware that the Black Box Security product does not work on group-owned land. It does not say this in the sale listing for the item, or in any documentation that comes with the item. I had to contact the creator to ask why it didn't work on my land, and he told me that it won't work on group-owned land.

Did you try deeding the object to the same group as the land? That usually fixes things, although objects then have no way of knowing who their owner is.

here's an idea...

if someone uses ban lines by default with exceptions, instead of allowing anyone but banning people or groups, the owner sees the ban lines from inside the property.

that may cut down on their indescriminate use. :p
