Whats with peoples inventorys getting ripped off tonight!!! Huh?? Explain that!! What's with the log in issues??!!! AGAIN! I just had a friend tell me that she lost EVERYTHING out of her inventory and another just bought a 500L Bridesmaid dress that NEVER showed up in her inventory!! Get it together would ya??! yeesh! I've heard of quite a few people tonight buying items and not having them appear in inventory. It's a good night to be broke. |

That is just beyond me, at the least you would think we could get a "we are trying" blogpost, instead it looks like they turned out the lights and have left us to wallow in the problems and lost revenue for another weekend, that is shaping up to look much worse than last even. I've heard of quite a few people tonight buying items and not having them appear in inventory. It's a good night to be broke. I've been pretending I'm broke for a week now. Went freebie dumpster diving this morning, it's just as scary as it was when I was a true newbie.... but I'm a little better able to tell junk from gold ^.^ Add in my decision to finally start joining groups and I've had more stuff than I can sort to play with, all for free.... and no worries if the grid eats it. Not sure how much longer I can withhold the urge to buy more crap that just will wind up cluttering up the back of my wardrobe though. The grid hasn't been very stable for a couple of weeks now. =/ |

It's hopeless in there. Can't log into my home sim (but log in elsewhere, either without my hair or completely ruthed) can fly to the sim next door and fly IN.
Can't delete rezzed prims. Can't take copies of things. Click a prim to make it go down from 47.42 to 47.22, and end up with it at 47.21! haha It does go back. No sense trying to do anything. coco _____________________

Severe lag? Not an issue, we're all supposed to expect lag right? Lost inventory? Who needs an inventory when we're all supposed to be Ruthed. Can't TP anywhere? Not a problem ... they like captive audiences. But guess what? There is a new voice update. After all the only thing that matters anymore on the grid is voice. Expect more voice upgrades in the weeks to come people cause that's all we're likely going to get. Commerce, reliability and lag free sims mean nothing when there is voice. Of course who are you going to talk to when no one is online? I'm done for the evening. Too many issues on the grid to make it worth my while. I hope the weather is nice outside this weekend. You folks do understand that the folks that work on the asset servers are not the same types of people that work on features such as Voice Chat, right? It's not like if Linden Labs decided to drop voice now it would result in a massive manpower freeup allowing them to repair all the problems we've grown to know and love. Blaming voice for current problems is akin to blaming Mega Casinos for lag. It's a wives tale, it has no basis in reality, and it's not helping anyone. Too bad you gave up so quick. grid is back online. login server seems fine @ 10:34. Less then 30 mins downtime. I know it's frustrating, but try to take a deep breath  |

Logins restricted to Linden Lab employees. Apparently Frontier Linden isn't a man of many words lol. Although I do appreciate the fact that they are at least trying to update the blog, its almost as if they have no idea what is really going on inside the grid. These problems have been here for over a week now for some of us and they were completely ignored. I literally crash every 15 minutes MINIMUM! Some nights I have crashed 8 or 9 times in a 4 minute span of time. I've cleared my cache, reinstalled the client, updated my driver files until I was blue in the face and still I cannot stay connected worth a damn. I've just opened up a new RP sim, had great traffic then the week of hell hit and no one could TP to the sim, or see it on search. My traffic went to hell.. yet they claimed the issues were fixed.. but my traffic never rebounded. After a couple days we started to see improvements but by that time of course it was the weekend and we all know what weekends are like in SL. So again my traffic died off over the weekend because no one could find us on search and no one could stay connected to my class 5 sim because of lag and poor latency??????? I'm paying close to 300$ US a month for that sim and its laggy as hell and riddled with these invisible prims that don't really exist. I've gone to the chat and asked the Lindens for help and was told to restart the sim to get rid of the magic prims that are really not there but no one can walk through Now I have more of them blocking people's ability to enjoy the sim. This is MISERABLE and all the hard work of so many people is being flushed because SL is running like a pregnant Yak going up hill while trying to haul a blue whale and a ship anchor from a large naval aircraft carrier. I also pay you over 5000$ US a year LL.. how about a little freakin customer service for a change. I don't need voice chat for my RP sim.. I need my RP SIM TO FUNCTION!! I need to be able to log in and build and for people to actually find the sim listed in search. Not only that I really would like.. and I know this might be a little too much to ask for or expect.. but I really would like the people who do manage to get to the sim, not to be booted from SL continuously or be walled in by prims that don't exist OR.. and imagine this... to actually have a lag free sim like I paid for. /end rant by the very irritated woman sitting at the keyboard. I'm going to get hammered!! |

from the past weeks, this appears to be normal as we can set our clocks on friday night the grid gets screwed for the entire weekend hell, we can better start placing bets if the grid stays up  but but LL has banned teh ...(whispers) gambling.....>.> <.<! _____________________
There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps.You can bake cookies in a tree. I just wanted to pass this along as I have a suspicion that not many people are aware. After the problems Second Life had over the past 3 days, Linden Lab moved a couple hundred sims to different parts of their network. After they did this, the blog announced that all was well. I beg to differ. Moving the islands has caused some serious teleport failures and landmarks saved for months are not working anymore. I was wondering what the deal was. People on one end of the island could not use saved landmarks to teleport to another parcel on the island. _____________________

I'm going to get hammered!! Hey, I hate to tell you this, but you can trust me, i'm a PC tech. Something is wrong with your computer. If you are not exagerrating becuase you are upset at the grid problems (and who is not!) then you have something really weird going on. If you are crashing every 15 mins, you have a problem, and it has *nothing* to do with the Second Life client. There's 4 PC's here in my home, all running different configurations (Vista, XP, 2000) with totally different hardware. One of them is really old, one really new, one kinda in between. They all run SL just fine, I crash occassionally but never more then once a day generally. The only time i've seen some serious crash action from SL is when I happen to be using the First Look Client. Anyway, crashing every 15 mins = not the grid. Drop me a IM in game, I can give you a few pointers and perhaps help you solve the problem. |
