I've got Landbot Terror!!!!

Since these posts started, I have not been able to sleep. All I can think about is these terrible land bots and the horrible people who create and use them.

Just to clarify, is it true that:

A land bot can steal your land, even if it is not set for sale?

A land bot can change your listing to include objects you did not want to sell?

A land bot can relist your land and resell it even before it buys?

A land bot can read your private IMs to see if you are thinking about selling?

A single land can raise the price of all land in SL with one transaction?

A land bot can force me to set at a price lower than what I wanted to sell at through mind control?

Land bots have the sense of smell and can tell if you are "smelly"?

A land bot can see through my clothes and stare at my bewbies?


I am trembling as I hit "submit thread". Please help me with your answers.

I don't know about any of that, but I do know a landbot ate my baby.

It is a typical tactic, perfected by many SL players more than by any other group of people anywhere I have ever been (due doubtless to higher intellectual standards elsewhere), to belittle other people's legitimate concerns and attempt to humiliate them, in the hopes (futile, largely) of getting everyone else to point at them and laugh.

Smacks of desperation to me.

Plus possibly extremely misplaced confidence, combined with a gleeful rub-their-noses-in-it impulse, an inordinately inflated opinion of one's own self, and the emotional maturity of 10-year-olds.

The best way I've always found to deal with it is to laugh along with them. Not only does it disarm them, it helps prevent us from taking ourselves altogether too seriously.

No. Their inaction just means that they haven't deployed a solution. They've told a bunch of people a bunch of times that they don't like landbots.
