first of all the only reason people think twilight has an original story line is because they have noticed the 100's of other novels and tv shows out there that are just like it and in my opinion count chocula the cereal vampire is more fearsome than edward i mean is the simple fact that he MAYBE a vampire supposed to scare me? vampires dont sparkle vampires cant get people pregnant and he doesnt even have fangs in my eyes hes just a human who drinks animal blood and jacob isnt a werewolf hes just a big ass wolf aside from edward supposedly being a vampire hes your typical romance novel kind of guy

sensitive, rich, good looking etc. the thing i have a problem with is they portray him as "perfect" like hes some sort of god and its that very thing that makes him athe typical romance novel guy but people want to believe its original and the movie was stupid and before you say "how can you judge you havent read the books" ive read all 4

The thing I have a problem with is what on earth does this have to do with SL? You do know that this is an SL forum, don't you?

Hollywood. Where creativity and innovation is the exception, rather than the rule.

"Within, stood a tall old man, clean shaven save for a long white moustache, and clad in black from head to foot, without a single speck of colour about him anywhere. He held in his hand an antique silver lamp, in which the flame burned without a chimney or globe of any kind, throwing long quivering shadows as it flickered in the draught of the open door. The old man motioned me in with his right hand with a courtly gesture, saying in excellent English, but with a strange intonation.

"Welcome to my house! Enter freely and of your own free will!" He made no motion of stepping to meet me, but stood like a statue, as though his gesture of welcome had fixed him into stone. The instant, however, that I had stepped over the threshold, he moved impulsively forward, and holding out his hand grasped mine with a strength which made me wince, an effect which was not lessened by the fact that it seemed cold as ice, more like the hand of a dead than a living man. Again he said.

"Welcome to my house! Enter freely. Go safely, and leave something of the happiness you bring!" The strength of the handshake was so much akin to that which I had noticed in the driver, whose face I had not seen, that for a moment I doubted if it were not the same person to whom I was speaking. So to make sure, I said interrogatively, "Count Dracula?"

He bowed in a courtly was as he replied, "I am Dracula, and I bid you welcome, Mr. Harker, to my house. Come in, the night air is chill, and you must need to eat and rest."As he was speaking, he put the lamp on a bracket on the wall, and stepping out, took my luggage. He had carried it in before I could forestall him. I protested, but he insisted. " Bram Stoker

We did Dracula one year in High School on stage. It scared the heck out of me the first time I read it. I used to love Vampire movies, I think Christopher Lee was the best of all. But after him, I sort of lost it. I tried to get into Anne Rice, but it pretty much did the same for me as Snowcrash, and the whole Twilight thing escapes me.

Every once in a while a Vampire movie bites me. I love "The Hunger", I thought "Blacula" was a hoot as was George Hamilton's flick. There was also one with Robert Loggia as a mobster who meets up with a sexy vampire that was good. I can't remember the name.

As well as groups for pretty much everything else. Saying "there is a group of fans for it in SL" is a cop-out answer to the question, it still is not relevant.

Guess what?
I really, really really love the Twilight movie and books.

And I love Avatar.
And Titanic.
I always cry when I watch Titanic. It is so good.

Anyway, if you ar eover 30, the movies arent meant for you.
Youre already vampires.
You dont need to see a film about them.

The title of this thread is "where all these damn twilight movies comin from?". Since there is only one movie of them that is out there on DVD (and therefore be streamed) then the inworld impact is not 'all movies' (which implies multiple). Saying it is because there is Twilight stuff in SL is an obvious duck to people asking the OP how it is relevant as it does not address the movies.

No. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Second Life - not even to you. This is an SL forum. It's not a forum for starting threads about whatever comes into your head.

Utterly and completely cos in real I still make my eyes goth when I want to and I go for that pale look as much as I can.
And I liek her twitchyness. Sexy and twitchy. Real boys cant resist that. That get headtsrong and have a hard time with thinking straight. Their fathers get plumped up and the mothers usually have a five finger exercise with the phone to other parents.
Ah in true, how many boys have fallen for the graces of a goth girl with black fingernails...
Even here Hal says "Oh your a goth tonight Jiggy? You look charming. I am so glad you have that vampirey spirit" Or he makes funny comments that I wonder bout until I realize he is tongue tied and tosselated.

Hey, it's not like she was complaining about "Under Siege" or "Evil Dead 2".

Under Siege was a fine example of the "Ex-Navy SEAL working as a cook in the ship's mess" genre.
