From: stimpy Tripp Dear Milo: I hope I'm not out of line here, but I really dislike updates that aren't labled as such. Is there a sensible reason for making bug fixes, then uploading as the same 1.16.0.0, as opposed to, say, 1.16.0.1? I was crashing left and right, and without a message of a newer client, I'm not likely to upgrade seeing the client version the same. Thanks, Stimpy Simply download the client again. It fixed the flexi problems and I no longer had crash issues at all.

From: RobbyRacoon Olmstead Overall I feel this update is absolutely useless. Well, worth than useless, since you cannot go more than 5 minutes without a crash to desktop, and until someone makes a Blender plugin or a plugin for modelling software that is less than $500USD I couldn't care less about sculpted prims.
My opinion will do a complete 180 once sculpted prims become a possibility and accessible to me without constant crashing, but until then I've seen all I need to see on this new Beta.
I pretty much agree. I certainly see the value of doing modeling work with a professional program, but being able to tweak the mesh a bit more within SL for the purpose of fitting it with projects would make things a little easier. Hell, for my use I would only have to tweak a handfull of vertices on stock prims. I'm not exactly animating key characters for a CGI Pixar film here. I run SL mute unless I'm testing sounds for projects, so I couldn't possibly care less about voice. I wouldn't anyway, I've seen voice introduced to games elsewhere and it wasn't exactly a golden age revolution. Well, unless you like getting migraines from people's $4.99 mics and listening to domestic disputes behind the talker.
