This heppened last night and several of us were bumpedout and had to reset paswords to get back in. Somewhere there is a thread in which Heretic comments that they are working on it.

Someone came up with the solution of logging out of the website and then when you log back in hit forgot password. If you do that you get and email with a link to reset password and it works and you can get back in to the site and then use the new password to log into SL.

This issue is a problem - I had to reset my Password twice.

One Question though since its the title of the thread, how do you cancel your account if you cant log on to it?

This may be where some of the credit card issues are coming up as I would imagine (seeing this is what I would do) if i could not cancel a recurrent billing because of a website issue I would be calling up my credit card and telling them the problem and filling out the forms. Unfortunately all of this type of stuff goes through the fraud department. So if its been happening long enough I'm sure things are getting flagged as a result of it.

I've always used PayPal and I've had to reset my main twice so far...alt is fine. Someone said it's affecting anyone who even looked at the new support portal, which could be true as far as I know. I've used it, in any case.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

It's insane that they don't have this in big huge letters on the website... something like "password problems click HERE"... instead they have it buried 3 layers down. How incredibly frustrating.

My hubby had to reset last night too. Pretty scary and I *think* the problem had to do with his password [old] was less than 8 characters. When he changed it to a longer one it worked fine [so far;)] However, it may not be the length that is the problem.

Note: update on blog
