From: Mitchell Indigo Thank you treasure for allowing me to come ride it. It occurred to me after I logged off that I didn't have a wheelchair there for you to see what I meant about our elevator not ejecting or making you stand up. Our group who uses it, always BYO, lol.

You should visit the SS Galaxy. It's a three-sim-long cruise ship currently anchored near the Blake Sea. The ship is 6 decks tall, and has banks of elevators at various locations. You typically need mouseview or a tightly-zoomed camera to use them, though - after you call and board them, you need to turn around and press the destination floor button on a panel next to the door, like in a real elevator. The ride will look a little bumpy, just because of the way physics work; but as things in SL go, the elevators look elegant, and work beautifully and consistently. And yes, they always take you to the right floor. If your Mysti has a push detector, it will go crazy in the elevator, so be aware.
Of course, you don't have to use them. On the call panels next to each elevator along with the "up" and "down" buttons is a teleport button that brings up a floor menu for instant TP, if you don't feel like waiting. The Galaxy spares no expense in providing a comfortable and convenient experience for our passengers and guests.

Thank you Dakota for telling me about that ship! I heard there was a huge one and someone told me what it was at one point but forgot the name of it. Thanks for posting it.

There's a great elevator in the building I'm in now in the Staten Island sim....I have a 2nd floor loft and the only access is via the elevator and it's way cool....I can stand in it with my AO on, and I go up & down properly......and it's modeled after those old styles with the sliding gate doors. There's actually two apartment buildings that I know of in the Old New York - Staten Island sim. In fact....I relocated to my apartment just 2 days ago because I loved the elevator access! I don't have a URL handy but look up Old New York on your map......the MLK building has an elevator and another building at the opposite end of the sim also has one. There may be more, not sure. It's a fun sim to wander.....very very well done NYC sim.
