It really helps a lot if you're flexible on the first name these days. I spent 2 days off and on looking for something that suited. I realized fairly quickly that I was very biased against many of the funky last names, so I picked a last name first and spent most of my time hunting for a first name that I liked.

While I would have been happy with any of the names I didn't get- I really really like the ring of Capella DeCuir now and I don't think I'd change it if given the choice.

Sounds like a great name to say, and I notice lots of kinky types taking up "DeCuir" names, but on the other hand yours translates roughly to "leathery head", which gives me the titters.

I looked at the slnamewatch site, and it seems they haven't done anything with names for 155 days. So it's not just me - though I remain puzzled by people showing up with names I can't see in my list, who swear blind they are fresh meat...

I just went and had a look; there's only 102 Richthofens. So I guess that's my chance to move fast and snap up "CrackWhore Richthofen", "Jihad Richthofen" and a number of other seductive and charming alt titles... Particular respect, though, to "BiggerThanHipHop Richthofen", who has a chutzpah in name-picking that really made my day!

(there's also only 79 "Gummi" anythings, of which for my money, only Gummimonster Beidermann has hit the zeitgeist.)
