Thanks for that Sunni, explained it well One thing though you said it appears as a negative balance, I thought they would automatically take the money on the due date, not that i'm complaining it's no hassle for the USD balance to go negative and then me clear it using the "Increase credit" link as Ann suggested. I'm wondering out of curiosity more than anything how long you get as a "grace" period from when your balance goes negative to when ll would decide to reclaim your land? Not that i'm planning on paying late but good to know just in case I forget to clear my balance one month, I have been known to loose track of what the date is, lol And thanks again for your help Sunni & Ann

They should, and sometimes they do, but they've been having a lot of billing issues lately...it's just something to keep an eye on. I think the grace period is a week, but I probably wouldn't wait more than 24 hours to take matters into my own hands.

Ah ok cool, thanks for clarifying that for me Yeah I agree best to clear it asap if they don't take it automatically, but good to know you do get at least a few days grace just in case, there was an issue that affected several UK banks (including mine) recently that meant no-one could make payments via card or online for just over 48hrs so without a grace period I would have been in serious trouble if a tier payment was due Think it's best I setup a reminder for the due date to make sure I check the payment was taken though, just in case i'm having a blonde day and forget the date

I think your tier payment dates are linked to your payment date for your premium account, but don't quote me on that.
Possibly I just managed to buy land that tiered me upwards on the same day (18th) that my account is due.
In any event, you will be charged full tier for the maximum amount of land you held during the period in question. It pays to time your land purchases so you don't get caught paying a huge tier for land you hold for only a few days.

I went premium on the 16th of that month. The "next billing date" on my account page is always the 16th.
The actual date my tier has been taken out has varied from the 18th to the 22nd.
Last month, my balance showed negative for about 2 days after the tier was charged, then changed to zero without me doing anything. I didn't worry about it and it corrected itself, which I expected it to to. I think if most people didn't panic and just left it alone the same thing would happen.
Edit/ Just reread a message before mine - the tier always comes out the same day as my premium dues, and I have bought/sold/changed tier at different times of the month.
