I had no problems logging in. Friends list is not working.
And from the Friends Online on the SL site: Friends online has been temporarily disabled.

I am still getting the "Cannot connect to the version manager" message...really wish we would have been given a choice about this "update". Looks like I am being forced to sit in RL, popping bubble wrap while reading...anyone have popcorn???

Other than IM and friends not working, having a zero balance of Lindens and not being able to buy land, SL is working spiffy!

From: Itazura Radio Try to look on the bright side. Maybe it messed up and only freebie accounts are being allowed to sign on. That means 6000 escorts are fighting each other trying to get money from 10000 broke newbies looking for camping chairs while 2000 griefers shoot and cage the whole lot. It could happen. LOL

From: Ace Albion I avoid Patch Wednesdays usually, and pick up the crisis IMs the next morning That was my plan too, but curiosity got the better of me. I got in on the first try much to my surprise. I retained my inventory and my properties are for the most part OK. Here were some issues though... Most concerning to me is that many of my textures are out of whack. Really really bright and blown out. The show up fine when I check from my inventory, but when they're apllied to something in world they blow out. When I arrived home, I also noticed that things I recolored months ago (darkened floors, lightened outer walls, etc.) had reverted to their original coloration. Quick to fix, but are all of my builds miscolored now? I didn't check yet, but this could really mess up clothing and objects that I sell not to mention the 1000s of lindens I paid for beautifully textured garments from other designers. I've alreay read a few instances of that on the blog. Next is the camera angles. Vertical camera controls are seriously messed up. I couldn't even zoom into my shoe. How are we supposed to build or photograph goods? Animations are confused, but the longer I had my different AO's on, the better and quicker they started to run. Couldn't buy Lindens as I couldn't be "verified". Couldn't send IMs. Didn't stay on long, because I couldn't build or shoot anythin, but boy was it good to be home. Prepare for another challenging weekend for sales. I for one won't be buying anything until I lnow that it's gonna look like it does in the pic. I don't need to buy lindens, just checking abitly. But that slow things down quite a bit too, I'm sure. Oh well, welcome home! Guess I'll take the weekend off and play some! Maybe I'll clean my inventory finally. Wonder how long it'll take to whittle down 20,000 items. Never tried before, because I get tired of it quickly and then go shopping! lol

From: Jax Huskerdu Next is the camera angles. Vertical camera controls are seriously messed up. I couldn't even zoom into my shoe. How are we supposed to build or photograph goods? Apparently, in my case, the camera refuses to swap it's focus to a prim, so zooming in on it or trying to do a circular zoom results in some very dizzying affects. The camera focuses on itself and when I did what Winter suggested, it worked fine until I teleported and then right back to square one. Except, I couldn't focus on the square Everything else was absolutely fine for me. Slow login, but hey, at least I can get in and I had all my inventory! I did notice that textures took a while to load, but I think that is actually due to the fact that I had my comp running for at least 12 hours straight yesterday.. and working in Photoshop! I'll take pity on it today and shut it down while I go get my niece from preschool. But other than the camera issue... I'm happy enough. Just wish the camera didn't hate me so much.
