Temp prims SHOULD count against prim limits. Those prims have be taken from somewhere, after all.

Temp on rez objects do not count toward your parcel prim totals, but they can cause lag if not used wisely... read up on it if you like :)

If they even cause a .1 loss of time dilation or the slightest lag and I can prove it I report them as abuse.

Using them is wrong in either case. Bullets I can accept (in a combat sim) but statues and houses..and even stairs? No.

Well, you better not go to any malls then...

This morning, I tried to work on a few attachments, which never attached. Couldn't attach anything else in those spots because an attach was still in progress. I had to log before it ever completed.

It's nice to hear that teleports and divorces are working... but there's no update on the other frustrating issues.

It sounds like a movie night. Hopefully there'll be better news soon. :)

/me chuckles... picturing you on the front porch with a shotgun and lemonade, waiting to chase off those durned internal revenuers and temp-on-rez rezzenuers.

One would think the good folks over at Linden Labs would have actually tested the new version before rolling it out. Having its paying customers be the test group is not good for business.

Also..anyone else notice the new version bogs down their system?

I kind of get the impression that LL made some changes that were probably intended to reduce lag... and performance related changes can be infuriatingly hard test effectively. (trying to simulate 10,000+ concurrent users under test lab conditions just isn't the same thing as real users.)

I definitely had some issues tonight but the big ones were ok (Lindens, inventory, house, prims, etc.). My AV was ruthed for a bit but I just shut the blinds and waited it out  In general, things were much quicker to rez for me and packetloss is much much less than the last month. For me, it's been just small inconvenieces and mostly goodness

In fact, the only thing that really ruined my time tonight was completely out of LL's control. My other half (who is traveling and hard to reach on the road) kept losing his connection and thus I mostly stood around in my house looking at myself :p

Good to see teleport ws working again. There wa a blue notice or two saying about ongoing probs and not to contact Live Help for such'n'such.
Only alarming prob last night was MyLand is zero even standing in my house on my First Land :(

I had the 'can't attach, another is pending' prob too.

edit .. and forum faster today? LOL

Not just working but teleporting seems faster than before ... to me at least.

omg you must worry the Linden to death with you frivilous abuse reports ey? Like the boy who cried wolf... I hope you don't expect them to listen to you when you have a real issue.

Do you also report everyone who wears an ao, or radar, or anyone who rezes an object in your sim as well? Do you report anyone wearing flexi hair? What about someone with smoke coming from a chimney?

Will you consider this post abuse as well and report me?

Things are typically a bit flaky just after an update; if things haven't cleared up in 6 -> 12 hours, that is the time to start worrying.

i am usually the one that gets the most upset about these mishaps during the updates, however maybe its just my age in the game, i have learned to become less rabid, as i know they will do all they can to get it all hooked back up properly as soon as possible. All the pissing and moaning in the world will not make it happen any faster, they want it to happen fast too, for the very least to make all the pissing and moaning stop.

Back in the day kids, we used to have to TP to a certain spot in a sim, called a "hub" and then fly to the red bar showing where our destination was, several sims away...things do progress, and with progress comes pain, bear it out, its worth it to gain more...gawd who remembers NON prim hair????

This last update really hurts. So many things are broken; many of the big things seem to be fixed by now, but so many little things are still broken. I learned in another thread that two-person animations (such as mine) have a strange bug, although I have yet to see it myself. But as for people complaining here now, will any more be fixed before Monday? LL is a company, and I assume it's employees get the weekend off.

Don't forget all the 'nets' in the way too, tall malls that never quite rezzed fast enough for you to see and fly around between the telehub and your destination... hoping to catch a little dwell from you before you blindly stumbled around the damned thing.

And 2 years ago? Forget prim hair... I didn't wear ANY attachments AT ALL because of the near certainty that they'd get me stuck in teleport or crashing at a sim boundary. It was a very happy time when that was resolved.

is there a workaround for being invisible? I have cleared cache and relogged no less than a dozen times. Things are starting to show up in my inventory again (still no Lindens though) but not showing as worn...do I try to wear them to look normal again???

Thanks - this is really broken

So far, I tink I'm lucky, though I only see water in Hundertwasser half the time, Ruthing seems to be happening all the time, and everyones' outfits seem to be soft focus for me.

Ive had to give up working in sl after 1pm game time - my inventory wont load , so i cant give customers things or use my landmarks or textures, I often cant rez objects either.

I get none of these problems early morning

After over 2 years here i find that abit sad, :( the game is the worst its ever been for me and its a struggle to create. The fact my classifieds (as well as the search) arent working properly was the last straw

Im venting my wrath in WoW on horde instead :p

Wonky Attachments after Teleport
12-05-2006 14:48
I haven't seen anyone comment about this strange bug that started for me with 1.13. I would TP somewhere and my attachments would sometimes spontaneously attach themselves to my crotch/torso area. I've had my hair on my ass and my shoes in my crotch and my nipples attached to my hips. If I take them off then reattach, they go to their correct attachment point. I bug reported it twice, but the Lindens haven't even mentioned the bug in their blog to date
