do you mean the whitishness around the edge of the item?

No how I make things is I make the main texture erase what I don't want, then draw on
details. I rarely have the white edges in the technique I use but I get left over fabric even when spending hours erasing.
I tend to make my textures by hand then go in AVpaint because its easier to see them in 3d there. Then if I need features only found in art program do the touches in my art program.
Magic wand and selection tools remove too much of stuff I don't want usually.

Is this extra fabric something that could be cleaned up by applying a mask? Or is it there because of how badly the stupid SL avatar mesh smears pixels in some places?

ah

I work the opposite, I draw on what I want to keep and only erase bits and pieces away
in the case of those thongs they were drawn line for line

clothing usually I cut away things like v necks and stuff

also putting a nice contrasting color behind the color you are erasing helps too

WOOOOOT my first semi decent SL video
(first attempt is also there but way choppy on the frame rate)

I now need to learn how to edit different video like cut away parts and such, then maybe make some video ads for my stuff to post on my blog

Not all will be dancing, I just grabbed the easies dance animation LOL

(I was thinking like a model runway walk kinda thing once I learn more about how to do it)

let me know what you think please

Usually what happens is the fabric first for me.
Then after its like how do I get it to show up where I want.
I like what you made and often I see that technique but I like highly involved fabrics like real life type textures that would be on clothes.
Lot of clothing makers I see in world use the technique of solid colors and adding details.
My method though takes more patience and more work.
I will try a contrasting color next time.
I am perfectionist and often one item may take several up to 10 tries to perfect it but I do wish there was way to reduce the mistakes but I figure when get enough items the way I want I can always recycle with new textures and details.
Hardest problem I having is when you're working with like 8 pixels or smaller areas is how to get hand drawn or stamped details not get all distorted.
I want more details to be shown i.e, realistic seams, laces and fancy detailed buttons and more realistic hand drawn textures that I have produced that your eyes can feel the textures, etc but its not exactly yet the way I want yet.
Thanks for the advise Rha.

It was a cool video. The outfit gave me flashbacks to a great moment in puberty. The moment when Olivia Newton-John (as Sandy in Grease) came out all remade over. I liked the sheen on the clothes too, very natural.

I would suggest music for the video in the future and thought it was a very nice thing to credit all the designers of the items you used. It loaded VERY fast and was a pretty clear video so you have the compression down good. :)

In my youth in Kansas we called it "purple passion"

Well I went to Catholic School and all. We mixed it with OJ and it was Agent Orange.

You know, admitting to growing up in Kansas does not help your sinister rating..maybe you should adopt another hometown....maybe Gary, Indiana or something like that.

Are you a Parrot Head by chance? So many to choose from- Tin Cup for a chalice is a fave- but nothing beats Pirate Looks at Forty.

And I don't think getting drunk would make it memorable- prefer to recall those types of things.
