have you ever made something, then when you look back at it a day or so later, you think to yourself.... damn.. I made that (as in wow it looks nice, can't believe I did it)

just everything seemed to just fall into place, it is a good feeling

on the note of good feelings,....

don't you just love that warm feeling you get during and after spending time with a new friend, getting to know one another, just letting the conversation flow naturally, ahhh such a nice feeling

*smiles a big smile, and feels like all is good with the world today*

More like, "I did that? Damn, I gotta quit drinkin!"

:)

Russia appear to be obeying your wish... they've just scored...Torbinsky, with 8 minutes of extra time left. 2-1.

This is NOT going to plan.:(

3-1 Russia (Arshavin)

2 minutes left. The only thing remotely amusing about this sorry state of affairs is the goalscorer's name.

He's a fantastic player though. Man of the match by a country mile.

EDIT:

Final whistle

Holland 1-3 Russia

Herzog fumes.

I have to give a shout-out to the res mod. It's clear she has our best interests in heart, both for locking a thread that truly needed to be locked and for allowing this one to stay open.

Good judgment and nice going on both counts.

Oh and sorry for your loss, Max. Hard to win when the majority of the match is played near your own goal. The Russians are looking tough.

Hey, I was browsing education events just now (coffin making class coming up woo hoo) and I saw a class that you may be interested in going to:
From: someone

NCI Class: SL Skills - STARTING A BUSINESS
When: Saturday, 7pm to 8:30pm, 1.5 hours
Instructor: Nancy Villota
Location: NCI Caledon (Caledon Highlands) Great Hall

You've developed some Second Life content creation skills and are ready to test your metal in the metaverse marketplace. How do you begin?

This class will teach you the basics of starting and running a business in Second Life. What's already out there? How do you find your niche? How do you attract potential customers? How, exactly, do you sell stuff in Second Life anyway?

NCI Classes - Welcoming All - FREE to Everybody!

I know you are getting off the ground and this may give you some tips. Check under search > Events > Education drop down and it is at 7:00SLT. There are only two events there atm. It is the one that says NCI in front.

Howdy ya' Threadophiles!

Thank you all so much for the well wishes and warm thoughts - it really does help buoy me up when I'm sitting here...

Things are looking good, however it is still going to be some time before pop is let out of the ICU, let alone the hospital - doctor's are not completely happy with how his incision is looking, but the rest of him seems to be coming along okay.
(incision, by the way, runs from his sternum, all the way down his belly and around his navel, and down another bit past that - looonnnggg...and stapled!!)

Watched the doc poke about with a swab INSIDE pop a bit today, right between staples in his incision...it was a bit disconcerting, how "matter of fact"ly he behaved - mark of a surgeon, I suppose, when even a conscious human is fair game to be poked about in...
(yeah...dad DID feel it, if his face was any indicator)

Lovely day here, weather is about as perfect for the beach as it can get - high 70's or low 80's, very light breeze, and a little bit of surf - nothing too strong to drown the tourists, but big enough to be worth playing with.
Perhaps I'll take a snapshot from the hospital window of my view of the harbor...lovely day.

/stretches out, looking for a sunbeam to lie in, keeping an ear open for developments

Thanks Mac!!
Sadly, at this moment, someone else needs all they can get - a Code Blue being called over and over...someone's not doing very well.

Oh whew!!! Just called the "all clear" on it - people are all over it, I'm guessing.

WTF?

Somebody locked my other thread about what this thread is about so now I have no choice about refraining from posting here. It did appear to have got hijacked by some sort of spat that I wasn't really following anyway ...

Besides i thought these forums were unmoderated - not sure why I got that idea - oh well.

Meanwhile I'm goig to revive the Chicken thread which somebody revived the other day because I dont want to get sucked into posting in this one

I think the people involved requested the lock. There isn't much moderation, but it does exist.

As long as you continue to avoid posting here, your still safe from corruption. ;)

Happy early Rezday Skell...and so glad partner was paying enough attention to get the coat for you!
I'm sure 2 months of standing in front of the thing, drooling, was a helpful hint.

Many thanks, Damien!

Believe me, I'm leaving out lots and lots of gory details...however, I know pop has some wonderful doctors working him over...

If I ever grow up, maybe I'll be a doctor.
Well...witch doctor, perhaps.

I'm not at all transparent. Nooo, not me.

Actually, he happened to be with me in the store for the first time. He'd not seen it before that, but as soon as he did, all I saw was the money ka-chinging into my account, and was urged to put it on as soon as possible. Seems he fell for it as much as I did ;)
