so, for those of you who have homes in SL ...do you have dining rooms? bathrooms? And, if you have bathrooms...do you have a sink? toilet? (most I've seen just have a shower or jacuzzi or both)

hehe.. well, I guess it came in phases for me. I have a couple Damani houses I bought for example. When I got them I decked them out with stuff. No toilets, but I had the kitchen, bedroom, etc. Even got the big screen tv and stereo stuff.

Flash forward to today.. a square skybox with a desk to work on, a pose stand and photo background for product pictures and a chart on the wall on how to torture prims. :D

I wish I had a clever reply, but it's just the name of the store..

But come to think of it...the shoes are pretty sweet, just like Juicy Fruit gum...

And..I miss Bazooka bubble gum.. You can't find it so easily these days. (and I do have some SL bubblegum; I can blow a bubble with it!)

I have open plan mostly, but it is divided by the things I do in each area.
So I have the following: -

Living Area - Couches, roaring fire, whatnot
Ballroom - Chandeliar that is actually a dance ball with Sine Wave dances in it.
Bedroom - Bed, nothing else
Ritual Area - Circle of Protection, coffin, slave posts, whipping cross, jukebox.
Attic - Spare coffin (just in case the masses storm the keep)
Tower - Nothing other than a fantastic view of the setting sun or the rising moon.

lol. In RL, people try to graduate from the cinderblocks look to the fully furnished house. I find it's often the opposite (as you describe) here in SL.

We had about a quarter sim at one time. Lots of stuff just spread around and plenty of prims to build with. Presently we are on a friend's 512 and are doing just fine. :D

See? It's that whole move to "less is more" people downsizing their houses and what they keep in them...

The most precious item in my house is the picture frame that cycles through the pictures I have stored in there - essentially my collection of memories. I come home and some random picture from a past time is showing - makes me smile.

Oh and my grandfather clock that is just like the real thing. I always wanted one of those.

my home is pretty much unused, been thinking of doing something a little different and moving the arcade into the house LOL

that would be different for sure

Until I had a family my home was like that too - no reason to spend time there unless I had to change. Once you have the knowledge that people will be there it changes.

Yep, it just depends on how frugal you can be with prims. We kept adding and adding to our land as parcels went for sale. Then we decided to leave the mainland and rented a big plot from Dreamland. When she quit playing for awhile I moved onto a plot called "Darkmere" in a hut my friend Lucifer Baphomet gave me. low prim, but I found so much I could do in that hut with the prims. Unless you want to and can afford a big place there is no real need for it. :)

If my friend sold his island and decided he needed his 512 back I would mark NCI as home and use the sandbox there to build. I could live without land.

EDIT to add: Luc's place taught me how to live within prim means after having big lands for so long in the past. Now that 512 I moved to is more then workable.

I'm guessing that eventually I will downsize, but right now I do like my castle.
