Speaking of vanity pics :)

I do not know it it is the angle, the dress or if my boobs are just that big but I need to bring that slider down a little more.

What a marvellous picture. Both the subject and the background are beautiful. The whole conveys warmth and elegance.

And don't change your bewbies!

I put on my skirt shape for the gown I wore tonight; it has a system skirt with it. But the breasts are smaller by 15 on the skirt shape along with 15 shorter arms and 15 smaller hands. I know I made the skirt shape after I finalized the normal shape and they should both be the same on the torso measurements.

Anyway, agter reading the comments I made the skirt breasts match the normal breasts (scaled up) and corrected the arms and hands on the normal shape. I think it was an SL glitch since I do not remember doing any changes, but then maybe I did sometime or another.

Was so hot outside yesterday, they turned the lights off in the courthouse. All we had was the light from our computer monitors, for most of the day. A/C was on but low, was still warm inside. I'm sure you are ok with the heat Kaimi as you are on the beach; I"m 'somewhat' inland, definitely moreso that you, in South Bay, Bonita area. still not too bad, like some other inland areas could be worse.
It's good to hear that the county (county?) is saving money but not good to hear that you and your colleagues are laboring in discomfort. Some of my in-laws live in Bonita and now that you mention it I don't think it gets too hot at their house either. Definitely not hot like Santee, where my mother-in-law lives.

I just had a classic Lucky Chair moment. There are two pairs of Chucks in the chair at Aikane, and I TP'd over there to check them out. There was just one person stalking the chair (initial L).

The chair was on S, with two minutes to go. I jumped on, and got one pair of Chucks. As soon as I stood up, the chair flashed up the *other* pair, and went onto S again!

So I got both pairs within about 30 seconds of arriving at the store :D
Congratulations! Sometimes life is so sweet.

Looks like everyone had a great time at the party, a party I sadly had to miss :(
Would you beleive I was out buying a new vacuum cleaner.
I am now saving up to get the boy to come and vacuum for me :D

The pictures of the party are beautiful and it looks like a fabulous time was had by all.
Rhonda, please don't change a thing, you look perfect the way you are, as do many of the Threadies :)

Aww, don't give up so soon. Most people are not on at this time.

And take a look at your "viewed" count on flickr to see how any people like the photos enough to zoom into the full page for that picture.

Just requoting post #32 of this thread. Being on the second page of this thing makes me feel like I was at Woodstock and have the ticket stub to prove it or something.

Carter, Bodhi, Mo and Koko showed up.

I'm fascinated by these tasteful lights. I wonder how they get that lens flare effect. Just an alpha texture maybe? Everybody looks spiffy!

Clarissa: My closest friend has an antique business called Stone Soup based on that story. Just odds and ends found here and there.

  It's 5:00 am in Tennessee! Why am I up and around and almost perky? One should never take a nap at 8:00 pm.

/me pads around in circles, sniffing this and that, toenails tip tap clicking on the tiled floor just audible enough to drive people crazy.

Good morning, world!

@Clarissa, glad you made it. Don't go away. Hope to see you inworld soon in your new skin.

@Weston - love the flying picture! It made me smile.

And thanks to all who took pictures from the party - it was too late for me to go, so it's nice to see. I particularly liked Clover's picture with the lights and Rhonda's picture of Mo.

Today my favorite brother-in-law is coming to visit for the weekend. He has business in the city and that sister is doing some girls-only thing, so I won't see her.

This does mean, however, that I have to help with the cleaning later this morning - which means vacuuming (one of yesterday's topics), and I cannot borrow Gabrielle's boy to do it.

Today is Kennedy's funeral. 44 senators will be there, Obama, lord knows who else, in this small church. Secret Service has been locking down the neighborhood, checking the storm drains (seriously). You cannot go near it.

Last night my mother was watching the memorial service at the Kennedy Library, and the two of us were crying. Person after person got up to tell stories of what a kind person he was and a good friend. At one point Joe Kennedy said, "I was there when he called every single person in this state who lost someone in 9/11, and I know he called every single person in this state who lost someone in Iraq - both wars - and Afghanistan."

The thing that made me laugh the most was said by Sen. Chris Dodd. He recently was operated on for prostate cancer, and had to miss one of those contentious town-hall meetings (on health care). Kennedy was the first to call him afterward, and said, "Chris, between the town hall and the prostate surgery, you made the right choice." (meaning that the town hall would have been worse to undergo)

I hope that when I die people speak as well and as affectionately of me. It wasn't all put on, speak-well-of-the-dead crap either. Some of it was. A few of the speakers were pretty stiff, but others were both funny and heart breaking.
