Nope-our new 'project' the NYT reporter Daniel Bergner- he got in touch with me about SL and such. I said I was willing to show him about - I am afraid I am just not real good at the teaching stuff though, poor man- If he really wants perspective and 'good' information he can do much better. Then again- since his focus was touted to be about female sexuality and desire in SL- and according to the Pip clone I am a whore, so maybe i am quite suited- Funny, i didn't find that a bit offensive - must be one of those moments where one weighs the origin of a comment as more impacting than the actual comment. We didn't get that far though in our talk- he impressed me in that he was quite interested in the workings of SL it self - how does one dress, how long did it take for me to know how to interact with the platform, how does he make himself walk, that sort of thing. It is so sad that LL has taken away the basic tuts- we found a mentor who gave him an LM to Help Island Public or OI public, I forget- the instructions were still there. But what the heck are noobs to do that don't even know to look for a mentor? I did recommend he find an escort to get a better slant on some aspects but I don't know anyone in that line of work. Amara...send him to Caledon Oxbridge and have him walk through the tutorial there. It's MUCH better than the old Orientation Island. And...ahem...send him to me for a basic introduction to cybering. But tell him not to expect too much; I'll be happy to demonstrate kiss poseballs and show him how to chat emote. Anything more, he'll have to pop on down to Zindra. _____________________

Stage 5 today at Le Tour De France was 196.5 km (122 miles) of fairly flat, strait road, from Le Cap d’Agde to Perpignan , with quite a bit of wind. An early breakaway managed to survive a long time with 6 riders. While the usual flat tires and crashes slowed down some riders, Team Astana kept their four (four!) contenders at the front of the peloton, out of danger and ready to respond to attacks from other favorites.
Although today was a perfect stage for a bunch sprint finish, the teams of the other sprinters once again decided it wasn't worth doing much to help the Columbia High Road team of current sprint leader Mark Cavendish chase down the breakaway. Team Saxo Bank's Fabian Cancellara, the current overall tour leader, eventually came to the front himself and set such a furious pace that the whole peloton was split into quite a few groups. All the current Tour leaders stayed with Fabian. At 5km to go the four remaining members of the early breakaway group, all on different teams, stopped working together and began attacking each other. At 4km to go Thomas Voeckler of France managed to get away and stay in front for the win, the leaders of the peloton not far behind. Mark Cavendish manged to win Green Jersey sprint points by coming in third. ![]() Riders who come in together all get the same time as the first to cross the line. (Or there would be carnage at the end of every race.) ![]() The overall leader board: ![]() _____________________

Honestly I wanted to talk with you before getting personal and showing him our home- I took him to my castle which is ridiculously PG and even then was only there maybe five minutes while i looked for some suitably smutty place to take him to. I am afraid smut is really unreliable! Not one naked avatar - no prim attachments! Geesh! What is random sex come to??? For Pete's sake, I found a place called Forest Orgy!! You wd think there wd have been at least one measely orgy!! NOTHING! It's giving deviants and pervs a bad name I tell you! ![]() I absolutely agree! @3Ring: *hugs* sorry you had to give up your mall.
@Rio: Your kitty is adorable. @Clover: You are adorable. @Claire: If you want to try a massage but not feel too vulnerable, you could get just a neck and shoulder massage. Also, tell the MT that you are uncomfortable with touch, a good MT will be willing to work with your boundary level. (I'm a massage therapist. ![]() |

I had a long discussion/interview with Daniel over the phone a few days ago. I was very impressed with his professional attitude and he made me feel very comfortable with the material we covered. I wonder, if Jezabel might be interested in speaking with him? I think she would offer him a unique perspective, don't you? Do you think I should ask her? _____________________

I just finished watching Elizabeth:The Golden Age. I've had it lying around waiting to be seen for ages, and I finally got around to it lol.
I really enjoyed it! I went through a little bit of finding part of it hard to follow (might have helped if I wasn't so tired I was falling asleep) but I stuck with it and I'm glad - I just love the way Cate Blanchett plays Elizabeth lol ![]() _____________________

Sounds heavenly. I've never once been to a spa or had a massage. I got a facial a couple of years ago but didn't like it much, and though I love getting my hair done and whatever, I never seem to be able to relax enough to enjoy it. I'm sorta scared of the whole strangers touching me thing. Yes, I'm always afraid they are going to stab me with the sharp instruments, or something. Purposefully, or accidently. |

Thank you Claire. That takes me right back in time. And it still gets me straight through the heart like it did when Wilson Picket sang it back in the day.

I'm sure Mistress would ask this question if she weren't sleeping.

Shakespeare in Love" came out the same year, and it was outrageous that Gwyneth Paltrow won "Best Actress" instead of Cate Blanchett. And Cate was in practically every scene! |
