I have to get back to taking pictures. All I been doing is building building building.

I did take some head shots for the forum. Here is one of the rejects:



which is too bad, because I liked it best. But when it gets smallerized to 100 or 50 pixels square, it doesn't look good. This is my biggest beef with the current forums, that we have to use such teeny tiny pictures. Maybe this is why LL wants to scrap them for something new.

So I was building this morning, and realized I will have to redo my roofs because I have to add these triangular pieces, and trying to work out three dimensions of angles is too hard for my brain. The triangles can only go on one way, and they are oriented differently from the rectangular pieces, so I can't just copy numbers. I don't think.

My most brainy boyfriend was a theoretical physicist. I was constantly reading to try to know what he was talking about, and he gave me this book about some Dutch (I think it was) physicist who worked on the Manhattan Project. So this guy had to take a train ride with Edward Teller, who was not the nicest of people. To shut Teller up, the Dutch guy asked, "Have you ever considered the properties of three-dimensional polygons?"

Teller said "No, I haven't!" and he spent the rest of the trip in silence, working it all out in his head.

I think this is my only story about physicists that is even remotely funny. I don't often meet physicists any more, but that one always made them laugh. (And then they'd get very quiet.)

Anyway, I can't work out the angles, so I have to remake the roof and add the triangles first, before tilting the pieces to whatever angle.

Oh, god! An anecdote about physicists? What's wrong with me today? It must have been that fish I ate last night.
