From: Maureen Boccaccio I tried for a while to get into the Hair Fair yesterday..."sim full." Finally got in...lag city. BUT criminy!! What's with the Candyland build (or Willy Wonka)??? It's cute and all, but wow!!!! everything takes FOREVER to rez (for me, anyway). I'd have been just as happy with little kiosks or boxes or whatever.  This is one of my biggest complaints about the various "events" -- they overload even the best computers and graphics cards with the "always ever better" builds Pretty soon, nobody will go to any of these events because they just cannot move or see anything - then it totally defeats the purpose of the event.

From: Amaranthim Talon So am listening - not on purpse mind you - to my boss taking a webminar on teh ever so exciting topic of Accounting... and it is drawing to the end when i hear the presentor say they have a presence in SecondLife and anyone wanting to attend the meetings that way is welcome to attend - uhm - I really do not need to know my boss is in SL!  /me will be looking at noobs a lot closer now, just in case- anyone looking for me I will be UNDER Brenda's rock...

From: Skell Dagger That's another rec for Snowglobe, and what with recent texture lag being just impossible to work with as a builder (let alone anything else I want to do inworld) I think I'll give that one a whirl. I find that pretty much everything rezzes faster for me and I get better fps most places. It seems to have all of the functions that are in the 1.23 viewer but without the performance issues that 1.22 or 1.23 have.

This was all done in world, using a custom windlight setting:  Awesome pics.
