Happy Rezday Skell!

One of the most humid days we've had so far, and it happens to be one of my busiest. Stupid weather.
I bought a book earlier today, Got really excited about it, sat down with a coffee, opened it....then realised I needed to reread the previous one in the series as I can't remember wth happened. I was so annoyed lol. It's probably my own fault for having 5 or 6 series on the go at the same time, but I was so looking forward to some peace with my book. :(

Also, I got a new deskmate! Meet Geoffrey. I've been given a project to take him around town with me and take pictures of him in different places. Thats if my cat will leave him alone. Cats and glass giraffes aren't a good combo lol.

OO! Almost forgot. I found out today that I have definitely passed this year at college and that there will be a place at Uni for me in September! I'm so excited!

Now I'm gonna pop inworld and check out those PJs everyone seems to be wearing hehe :p

Am I the only person in SL that could care less about this Zindra place?

I don't much care. I'm quite happy on my island retreat...and making forays to the outside world for shopping, dancing, visiting with friends and the like.

I hear you Seven. I can't stand lag. I would have loved to go to the hair fair though, and maybe could have dealt with the lag if I had money. I really need to stop spending all my lindens on virtual crack and prostitutes. Sigh.

BTW Anyone have a throne I can borrow? :o

I got a mushroom throne through that DSN thingie... :D

I'm not much of a hair maven, so Hair Fair never interested me. I went to the Shoe Fest last year, and was disappointed. Besides the horrific lag, I found very little that I wanted to buy. I generally stay away from "Events" anyway.

I tried for a while to get into the Hair Fair yesterday..."sim full." Finally got in...lag city. BUT criminy!! What's with the Candyland build (or Willy Wonka)??? It's cute and all, but wow!!!! everything takes FOREVER to rez (for me, anyway).

I'd have been just as happy with little kiosks or boxes or whatever. :(

Hi folks, just a quick reminder that today is the last call for sending info to me for the Forum Cartel Home Tours on Saturday June 27th. I've received notecards from, Gabriele Graves, Seven Okelli, Weston Graves, LeeLee Szymer, Lelia Wakawaka, Rock Vacirca, Ashe1 Writer, Ghosty Kips, Victor1st Mornington, Bodhisatva Paperclip, Melita Magic, Carter Denja, Litta Nightfire & Cee Edman, Jackie Silverfall, Soen Eber, Nic Writer. If I somehow missed or forgot you on this list, could you please send your notecard again to Joshooah Lovenkraft. If you still want to volunteer your home, you can grab the notecard to fill out at the Forum Cartel Hangout http://slurl.com/secondlife/Allana/162/35/37 or look in the group notice history and return to me asap. Please send me an IM or forum PM if you have any questions.

I'll be sending all volunteers a draft copy of the schedule tonight (Wed) just to make sure I didn't mess up their listing. The final schedule for the event will go out to everyone in a Forum Cartel group notice on Friday evening and will also be available by clicking the Home Tour sign at the Forum Cartel Hangout http://slurl.com/secondlife/Allana/162/35/37. We're got a really nice, diverse and interesting set of homes across the grid with most available for tours all day long. Volunteers will be around throughout the day to show you around their homes and answer any questions so it should be fun! Thanks again to all the volunteers for their hospitality so be sure to come check things out on Saturday.

This looks like it's shaping up to be a great expedition. I hope someone takes pics! I'll be out of town this weekend.

@Lula, your picture as usual is simply beautiful and beautifully done and thank you for the kind mention, we love having you with us.

@Rhonda, your pictures are equally lovely and again show wonderful talent.

@Skell, brooding, a little dark, thought-provoking, powerful - I love your pictures too and again the work that goes into them is astounding. Happy RezDay.

@Mari, love your airport picture, so much talent on display in these pages for all to see (and some want to delete the thread periodically - what a waste that would be).

@Rio, no way do you look deformed, like you are going to party the house down, yes, deformed no way.

@Brenda, your pictures are always a pleasure to spot, wonderful.

@Damien, I meant to mention I do very much love your butterfly pictures.

@Claire, congrats on passing college.

Pheeww, that was a marathon catch up. Great postings everyone and if I missed a mention, my apologies there was a lot to cover. :) VV

Thankoo! I think if I could run the shadow clients, it woulda taken it right over the top.
Dances commented that with the Snow Globe viewer, he can turn shadows on without it immediately crashing him - maybe give that a try.

Thanks everyone for the rezday wishes :)

OK, so I shop every day, but I decided to treat myself. So, Hoorenbeek's new biker boots (you should see these things close up... *salivates*) and the Armidi 'Moto' jacket in a matching colour were my rezday pressies to myself :D

Me too, heading for Vegas. If I'd been here, I would have volunteered my little fairy treehouse, you could have spent 3 whole minutes seeing it all! :p

That's another rec for Snowglobe, and what with recent texture lag being just impossible to work with as a builder (let alone anything else I want to do inworld) I think I'll give that one a whirl.
