Quoted for emphasis.
Consider what ye post herein, my children.

All kidding aside... you think our playful sexual innuendo could get us locked?
If so this is about to become as chaste as - well- hell- I've never been chaste so have no comparison- but you get the idea...

Look, almost 500 pages...

someone find a long song to post. I have to get back to work... At least I'll be clean and happy for my meeting.

/me begins gathering discarded clothing from the floor, one eye on the clock...

That long poem of the christmas soap about wore me out...I am NOT about to start singing, especially if I have to make up the words there too...

Yes, they should be happy because most of the GD stuff stays here, with very little falling into the other threads.

I was going to say the same thing. Most of the nonsense is going here, keeping it off the street. It makes sense to just let this one go on.
Time is up in the Bonus Round. 2 pledges were posted and 20 posts were deleted.

Me, either. What does that say about us? the sight of a young girl with a slit throat is preferable to.....

Talk about being desensitized to violence.

Well that goes not for all of us LOL

...ahem...

The Black Velvet Band

Chorus:
Her eyes they shone like the diamonds
You'd think she was queen of the land
And her hair hung over her shoulder
Tied up with a black velvet band.

In a neat little town they call Belfast
Apprenticed to trade I was bound
And many an hour's sweet happiness
I spent in that neat little town.
Till bad misfortune came o'er me
That caused me to stray from the land
Far away from my friends and relations
To follow the black velvet band.

Well, I was out strolling one evening
Not meaning to go very far
When I met with a pretty young damsel
Who was selling her trade in the bar.
When I watched, she took from a customer
And slipped it right into my hand
Then the Watch came and put me in prison
Bad luck to the black velvet band.

Next morning before judge and jury
For a trial I had to appear
And the judge, he said, "You young fellows...
The case against you is quite clear
And seven long years is your sentence
You're going to Van Dieman's Land
Far away from your friends and relations
To follow the black velvet band."

So come all you jolly young fellows
I'd have you take warning by me
Whenever you're out on the liquor, me lads,
Beware of the pretty colleen.
She'll fill you with whiskey and porter
Until you're not able to stand
And the very next thing that you'll know, me lads,
You're landed in Van Dieman's Land.

oh I love that song LOL

oh and not just one person, but a few complained thinking that I purposely did a thread to make it long *shrug*

as for careful what one posts, I am thinking more of the 2 pics posted by 3ring, especially the blood covered girl, that was a bit over the top :(

*shrug*

as you may all have noticed I do not post much in here, mainly cuz I am always working in world and tend to lose track of the topic in the thread, but I am in the group in world and always willing to chat (sometimes might be a bit slow but still willing)

Me too! Old school.. wait I mean Classic Rock for the win. :D

I am sorry people are complaining to you. They obviously have nothing better to do then whine. We all know your purpose was not to make the mother of all threads here, but the temptation was too great to play around with it. When I posted my first post here I expected the thread to be removed by the next day. I had no idea this thing would turn into the juggernaut it is lol. We all love ya for starting it. :)

I agree with the careful about the posts. In a thread this size I am surprised there haven't been more lol. If this was a third party forum it would be insane what would be in here hehe.

I hope all that work in world pays off for you Rha. :) Just remember when you are ready to cut loose some and goof off we are here waiting for your return. It is a pleasure having you around when you are. Just sayin' :)

Longplayer is a 1000 year long piece of music which started to play on the 1st January 2000 and will continue to play, without repetition, until the 31st December 2999, when it will come back to the point at which it began - and begin again.

It doesn't seem to have any words though:

Me too! Old school...

How old?

Gilbert & Sullivan

I am the very model of a modern Major-General,
I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral,

I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical
From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical;

I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters mathematical,
I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical,

About binomial theorem I'm teeming with a lot o' news,
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse.

I'm very good at integral and differential calculus;
I know the scientific names of beings animalculous:

In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I am the very model of a modern Major-General.

I know our mythic history, King Arthur's and Sir Caradoc's;
I answer hard acrostics, I've a pretty taste for paradox,

I quote in elegiacs all the crimes of Heliogabalus,
In conics I can floor peculiarities parabolous;

I can tell undoubted Raphaels from Gerard Dows and Zoffanies,
I know the croaking chorus from The Frogs of Aristophanes!

Then I can hum a fugue of which I've heard the music's din afore,
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore.

Then I can write a washing bill in Babylonic cuneiform,
And tell you ev'ry detail of Caractacus' uniform:

In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I am the very model of a modern Major-General.

In fact, when I know what is meant by "mamelon" and "ravelin",
When I can tell at sight a Mauser rifle
  • from a javelin,

When such affairs as sorties and surprises I'm more wary at,
And when I know precisely what is meant by "commissariat",

When I have learnt what progress has been made in modern gunnery,
When I know more of tactics than a novice in a nunnery—

In short, when I've a smattering of elemental strategy—
    You'll say a better Major-General has never sat a-gee.

For my military knowledge, though I'm plucky and adventury,
    Has only been brought down to the beginning of the century;

But still, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I am the very model of a modern Major-General.
