'twas the day before Christmas
And Santa was in the shower
He was feeling fairly grungy
and needed cleaning power!

All the soap cakes were lined up
on the shower stall top
Most were too girly
for Christmas's fat pop

"I need something solid"
gritted Santa through his teeth
"a soap that won't give up
when I'm scouring underneath"

As he stood there and grumbled
time kept ticking away
The elves became nervous
as they prepared his sleigh

"It's late! He should be flying!"
the elves nervously chattered
"It's not like he's going to some
PR dinner to be flattered!"

On the window sill, alone
a sole soap cake listened in
and understood that old Santa
was becoming late once again.

It slid itself sideways
across the sill to the stall
Looked down once to judge
where to end it's short fall.

With a twitch it fell sideways
Hitting Santa on the back
and slid down his skin
becoming wedged in the crack

Of the shower stall door
Where old Santa was leaning
It shouted "Hey Santa!
You need to start cleaning!"

"Christmas is here!!"
"You need to get in the air"
"I'll work on your body,
while you work on your hair"

And the two of them scrubbed,
cleaning skin, hair and limb
The soap even slid places
that left Santa quite grim.

They cleaned up old Santa
in record time, leaving
plenty of time left for
his dressing...no grieving!

So, the little soap saved Christmas
Not that anyone would know it,
