Just dropped by the hangout a few minutes ago:

Hi Brenda! What do you know about an airport in Klein? It's near my Basenville cottage and looks like it's huge. Dropped by there last night and ran into a great lady with a flying submarine who gave me a KX4 (?) attack chopper to try out. LOL. I'm not too good at aviation, either in RL or SL, as I proved. The field has a sign saying it's the largest airport in SL but it was dark so I couldn't tell how big it really was. Does this ring a bell? Thanks, Jackie

Seven, I think pics may be just the thing to cheer us a bit. The boots you are wearing in that pic are definitely worth posting! (OK, the faun avatar is also cool... but SHOES...!)

I'll do my bit to cheer folks up too. This is a pic of a female avatar that shall remain nameless, who "sat" on another friend's pet cat, leading to an *extremely* compromising situation! (I laughed till I cried.)
The moral of this pic is: Don't sit on someone else's pet, especially if your clothes haven't rezzed...
Great pic!!! Yes, Seven, you are quite cute, too, as always! J.

I don't think I've been there. I am going over right now. Thanks for the tip.

Morning Threadians-

Jackie you said it was so dark- I knows it's obvious but sometimes people don't mention the obvious- you do know you can turn on the lights right?

Yes, I do. I didn't know if that would affect anyone else so I didn't change to Midday...night vision and all that. Thanks, as always! Jackie

Changing the daylight settings only affects you. I took a look, I wouldn't say it's THE biggest in SL, there's Abbott's and Nikki Wilder's places, and J and S, and there's the Furry Airfield, I can't remember the name off hand.

Jackie - take a look at this page: http://secondsoigne.wordpress.com/2008/04/10/optimising-windlight-for-avatars-20/

Those are very photogenic settings you might want to try. If you do not like them you can always reset to default.

This is Izdzan, showing off what I think is a new avatar. I'm the cartoony girl in the background.

Snowblowers are awesome. We ended up with about 10 inches or so, but we are supposed to get up to around 40 degrees today so a lot of it will melt away. It is a good excuse to not do any yard work.

That is why I "accidently" dropped a bucket of ice all over the front yard. Oops, all wet now.

hehe, not really. And I couldn't think of logical thing could have accidently done. :*( (oh, hehe, tear, thought was going to make nose, made tear)

So I was out shopping a bit ago -- nobody else in the store and I'm just flying around looking at the dresses. All of a sudden I get an IM saying "Hi". Now, I never thought that was a horrid way to start a conversation -- I have a tendency to start conversation like that in RL also. I always thought saying "Hi" first was polite.

Anyway, I respond back with "Hi", while looking around to see who has arrived - the name does not really indicate male or female. There is a guy on the ground below me, so I drop myself down to a lower height - partly out of politeness and partly so he is not staring up my skirt.

He then offers a brilliant "out shopping?", which I figure doesn't even deserve the "yes" that I am polite enough to respond with. He immediately follows with:
"let me take you out dancing on my roof top"
"under the stars"

ETA: I forgot to include the profile text that about caused me to fall out of my chair laughing. I often look up the profiles on these folks because they do provide such good entertainment:

Hey maybe we should push him and Annabel together.
