i IM'd him when i saw him come online yesterday. he didn't contact me first. after we left you at the hangout, he learned about search and the map, and he showed interest in LOTR. so, we went to a LOTR spot and as it turns out, he had never left that place since i had last heard from him. LOL if you want, i can give you his name next time i am inworld and you can have a go at him. he is in desperate need of shape help. DESPERATE! i didn't have time to teach him the sliders. that is next on my list, so please feel free to help him. PLEASE. :p he's a nice fellow. y'all be gentle.
I'm the last person to go to for help in that space! I just stood still while Lin threw skins, hair, walks, and God knows what all else at me! Considering what she started with, I don't think I came out all that bad for a raw newbie :-) Give Chase my name again and remind him of who gave him his first full, flat out unrelenting hug in SL...I'll help if I can...Jackie

Mmmhmmm. And I also feel bad for Tod but for my own peace of mind and continued enjoyment of the thread, had to put him on ignore for the time being. My first time doing that. Have I ever told you guys 'why' I am deaf? Head trauma. Abusive ex-husband. Key word is 'ex' of course, but still........zero tolerance for back patting of physically abusive people.

I wanna say I read about it on Twitter or Plurk, one of those. I know Prospero's on the former, so maybe that was it. I jes recall hearing about around 1:15 yesterday, an it was almost 1:30 so off to Aditi I went.

I did't take any good shots of me in that avvie yesterday. I jes bounced inworld and took these ones, though.

Just saying hello, and from Ghosty too. Lots of things going on in the Llama/Pixie household. G finally got a job after months of searching - just in the nick of time because yours truly got laid off from 20 years of supreme service yesterday due to deep financial woes. Company has about $5000 to its name at the moment :eek: Very disheartening, as we've been an extremely successful small firm and were able to ride out many other downturns without a hitch. Not even going to be serverence pay for me - they can't afford it. The other two employees (draftsmen) are also affected, now part-time and were told feel free to look for something else.

Next Wednesday is my last day. *me sighs*

I'm not completely bummed. I knew this was a possibility. Thankfully, I have some money in the bank, Ghosty is now working and I have some other means of support coming in at the moment as well. Unemployement will be rather useless since I've been working part-time for so long, but it will be something until I get another job to add to the pot.

In the interim, I'm not stressing. Going to take a few weeks to catch up on things at home, and then G and I are off on a Bermuda cruise for a week to celebrate my 50th birthday - woohoo! Trip was paid for already, no turning back so we're going to enjoy ourselves to the hilt :p

That's it, and enough. Off to finish lunch, clean up my desk area some more, and continue writing copious notes on how to do my job so my bosses have some kind of guidelines. This, is a near impossible task because; how do you teach someone to do what you do in 5 days when you've been doing it for 20 years?

Ponder upon that.

Oh dear, that's rough, Elora. It's good that you're not letting it get you too down, and enjoy your cruise - you clearly deserve it. Best wishes for quickly finding a new job.
