In one of the discussion threads, a teacher said she was showing SL to her 4th graders. We discussed it a bit across the street, I said how totally irresponsible that was in my opinion, if I were a parent I would be highly upset if I learned this. Just imagine:

Agreed. But right now, the Main Grid is adults only, and she was wrong in my opinion. If you wanted to let your kids look at SL with your guidance, fine. She had no business doing that. Especially with 4th graders. Imagine:

"What did you do in school today Mary?"

Seriously, after the OS fiasco, I learned that NOTHING we do or say is going to dissuade LL from doing whatever the hell they want to. They don't care about the plans and goals of the residents....they have an agenda and will do whatever it takes to get to it.

My sim is largely PG anyway, except for the strip club up in the sky, that I let my general manager open. If I have to flag the sim, I will, no biggie.

They've screwed up age verification already so, until they figure that one out, there's not much else they can do. I'll worry about it all when they actually appear to have their act together.

Problem here is that my understanding is, if it is a mainland sim and they decide it contains Adult content, you must move to the new Adult content mainland - and no word yet on how that will play out as far as whether they would just basically pick up a sim and move it, or if folks will have to sell and buy.

The one good thing on this issue is that it sounds like they are going to consider 'payment info on file' as age verifiied. I mean, hell, we all know that no matter how they do it, it is not "really" verifying age anyway.

But that is also a double edged chainsaw. Someone pointed out in one of the other threads, that could be fine "for now". But it doesn't really prove anything. When something icky happens, and it will, how will LL wildly oveerreact to get itself out of the frying pan?Which it will.

Surely, even LL understands that forcing people to sell/buy would be the kiss of death. Will be interesting to watch from my private sim. *grins*
