Wow, Mari!! When you say you've had a busy weekend, I know it's true!

Those pics are fabulous!!! Tableau looks really cool.

(re: the blurtophones -- did anyone else think about "If I Ran the Circus" or "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and all the gizmos described therein??)

And on that note, Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss.

Thankoo! An Tableau is very nicely done. Worth a peek. It's been way busy, though, so expect lag storms 'til it calms a bit. Here's a another shot of the sim.

An ya, the blurtophones are very Seussian (Issat a word? It should be), an a lot of fun. Same as the Band Bots. I hope to take my blurtophone out in for the Nova Albion 5th Anniversary parade.

From: 3Ring Binder
space saving- took out the words because the pics were just too good to take out (and they won't even let me keep all the pics).

the jars - clever and surreal and totally cool. i am going to visit that sim.

the lady in red has a FAB avatar. so pretty.

LOL @ super soaker story. even as an adult, i think it would be totally fun to have a water fight!

the band - next time you kids perform, i would love an invitation to the show. :D

as usual, excellent pics and excellent narration. sounds like you had a fab weekend in SL.

Ya, there's all sorts of spots there that are great for photography an exploring an stuff.

The lady in red is Phaylen Fairchild. She had her 6th (!) rezday a couple months ago. She's one of the folks behind the Divas inworld TV show, which is sorta like a Second Life AbFab. I had a very small part in their Halloween special. http://www.phaylen.com/

As to the soakers: I had a blast making them. Here's a couple more related piccies, jes f'r fun.

Puttin 'em out on the shelves. I did my best to get the same look and feel one gets from the "real" soakers, including a good parody of the real packaging:

Soaker guns: As used by Second Life's Governance Team:

(For the record, I did Teagan Linden's "Philip Linden Has A Posse" T-shirt, too)

Blurtophone concerts are easy to make happen. ;-)

@ Mari - fantastic pix as usual!

Yay!

First time I've checked this thread in a while, and here it's gone and topped 500,000! Way to go, SL!

Nice to know there actually have been half-a-million real human beings in SL since last April, even though thinly scattered among the bots. If they're all still active and they gathered someplace in the US, they would be the 30th largest city in the country, as of the last census.
Actually it's not half a million separate people; it is just 3Ring posting "me too" 400,000 times, Mo posting "I'll stop this car" 50,000 times and 50 other people saying "Good morning", "Good night", "CanIHazCheezburga" and "Where's the coffee?" a few times a week.

Pep (Joking, but there is a grain of truth behind the explanation)

Indeed it is! I have no idea where Lexxi is from, somehow because of the job situation, how she talks about it, I picture her as being from some small, upcoming European country, working for their government. She's locked up in a small office with a few other people, who all sit practically on top of each other, able to see each others monitors easily. They work with sensitive security issues, and because of this are concerned that Linden Labs may breach their system at any moment so they've taken away the ability to log onto the SL Forum.

How devious and wrong!

Close. She's from Washington I believe. ;)

Ramon called- he wants his noodles back!

It is a "Lexxi Convo" has all the right elements- forlorn looking for missing prizes - but i am glad she is fine- weird thign though- she can get into sl but not forums... the job has odd security priorities!

The conversation was in group chat. So it leaves certain elements missing.

I cannot get into SL at work. I can't really do anything at work now. Supervisor is right behind me after move.

I just have trouble getting into forum when I could be in world. But world depressing me right now. stupid hunt. stupid hunt people accepting help but not giving.

Amara, tell Lexxi that's fine -- we'll forgive her absence from the forum. However, there is NO excuse for not responding in group chat when we're calling her.

I talked with Lexxi last night, too. She was in the process of removing some of her stuff from the hangout and other places in SL, reducing prim counts. At the time, Lexxi was debating whether or not to remove the bull from the hangout corral...

Edit: Lexxi also indicated that her desk had been moved and it was now situated very close to the boss.

All I could think about was how a teacher moves a kid to the front of the classroom, to keep an eye on him/her. :p

Whole office moved. People were just placed whereever as they were added. Now everyone is in their groups. Which involved some people moving one desk over. (not me, I moved long way).

"Can I have a cheeseburger." A cheeseburger is a hamburger with cheese on it.

And I suppose a hamburger is a burger made with ham?

Have you been corrupting my 4 year old? He refuses to eat cheeseburgers all of the sudden.

Personally, I can not eat a hamburger without cheese. :o

Normally, no. Though I have seen ham being used. Hamburger gets its name from the city in Germany called Hamburg. Not from the type of meat used.

Ooh! I like this- let's not change it with the truth what ever it might be.. I think we have the beginnings of something here..

/Cue camera...

Darkened office space, cubicles all around. The busy workers, heads bent over their barely lit computer screens.. a musty smell of enclosed palces, stale coffee and moldy carpeting, underlayed with 100 year old cigarrette. Camera pans in closer, a far corner of this oppressive room... In a cubicle in the farthest north west corner, our Kitteh sits with head bowed, frantically typing at her KB - trying to find the missing shipment of MQ47-099 - a Super Secret new Dry Cleaning Formula meant to be used by the country's ruling elite! If this falls into the wrong hands.. Sadly this new responsibility has taken the Kitteh' last vestige of freedom from her.. she can no longer breathe the clean fresh air of the Thread.. but the clock ticks.. and soon.. soon.. she wil be free again - mean time.. her soul walks SL in the hopeless Quest of missing prizes.. Twisted Hunt, indeed.
