Latest news flash from UK - cocaine prices are falling due to the recession. Might be time to stock up.

The dealers will probably ask for a bail out.

That's in the next Stimulus Bill. It will then be passed out to keep the workers happy, Comrade.

Boomer's new bed from LL Bean arrived today, and of course he isn't the least bit interested in it. It's a little loveseat, with a back and armrests, all fleecy. He is a very vocal little guy, he's always grunting, and he's got a cute little snore whe he sleeps. When he gets a treat he actually goes "Nom. Nom, Nom".

OK. I'll shut up now.

Here's the profile of stage 4 today of the Tour of California. (It's still Wednesday here.) The weather was mostly sunny and warmer although there was snow on the ground at the higher elevations.

For much of the race a three man breakaway including Olympic gold medal winner and current U.S. national road race champion Tyler Hamilton of U.S. team Rock Racing.
The teams of current Tour leader Levi Leipheimer and the big name sprinters let that lead group stay as much as 5 minutes ahead for much of the race but reeled them back into the fold just in time for a bunch sprint at the finish with UK rider Mark Cavendish of US team Columbia-High Road narrowly beating Belgian rider Tom Boonan of Belgium team Quick-Step who came in second.

Everyone had the same time today of 04hours 42min. 38sec and Leipheimer remains in the Tour leader's yellow jersey.

A little late for St Valentine's Day, but apropos given recent discussions in this and other threads: a breakfast for those of a romantic disposition.
