For me it's not that bad. If i can't pay attention to it or i am doing somethign that needs my total attention... I shut it down. Indeed. I'd stopped playing it for a long, long time; but recently, I turned it back on and found out that my "gold" has been building up for all those months I wasn't using it, which was cool. Also, I let it run for a while. The offers and stuff like that didn't bother me (I think there's a "turn" every three minutes or so). What DID bother me - which I kind of then remembered was the reason I stopped playing to begin with, was join requests. Every so often somebody somewhere will get something like, "Do you want to offer Dakota Tebaldi 12,000g after 24 months, to leave his leader and join you instead?" If they say yes, next turn I get a join request. That's not the problem, though...the problem is those people actually IM me, like "Hey, we've got a Group for our kingdom and we're all best friends and hang out and stuff, would you like to join please?" I have to turn them down, cuz I'm in my SL mom's kingdom-thing and obviously I'm not going to leave it. But these unsolicited IMs from people I don't know are annoying. _____________________

I haven't worn my TE hud in a while....Had the same problem Cody, IMs from people about inviting me to join them or something. Occasionally I'd log on and find a couple of group invites, IMs and the join requests.
I got one of the group requests last week, even though I haven't worn the hud in about 4 months or so. Oh, and last night's attempt at being creepy. Think I hid wierd instead of creepy though.  _____________________

This User Agreed! this sl thing sure makes my mornings come faster... seem to not be getting as much sleep...lol Albert Einstein knew all about SL- how do you think he came up with the Theory of Relativity? Time is VERY Relative in SL – Relax though- after a year or so you get used to it.<snip> i learned new things again. i love that! i can't wait to find out how you made yourself little, and to see your new piece of hardware. The “little” thing- there are a bunch already in your Inventory already I imagine- but it is an AO from what the Instructor said last night- I haven’t played wit it yet. I really wanted the class to apply it to critter making- that bear sure was cute! I hope you like the lamp- Damien put one out in the garden last night and it lights things up nicely Enjoy- I need to shoot pix for stuff for Wren Mall! The little heart thing went well also although I didn’t get a chance to do the necklace part yet- And Divine Bovine! I can say I am learning to Speed Build! The last few instructors are on Speed, I swear! The Classes @ ICE were great – I soo recommend them- and the script guy at GQ was awesome too – I find there are a lot of teaching places- I just haven’t got to them all yet _____________________

the best way to control your alts and to take back your main is to never ever let your alts socialize. they are bitches to be used as tools for such purposes as modelling, camping, posing and testing. they are not allowed to dance or party or wear nice clothes after the shoot.  I think both Hera and Damien might have something to say about this... /me raises right brow in a curious and suspicious manner... with a slight smile - no make that a smirk - on my lips. I had the exact same reaction right up to and including the Spock eyebrow thing my alt Wren is trying very hard to become the main. she's prettier than me, owns land, and lately she's even been seen out socializing, and learning new SL tricks. i better get a leash on her quick. Hmm.. Wren on a leash....  I have reached the conclusion that Bloodlines is the new name for Tiny empires… _____________________

Awk. Tiny Empires has invaded the Thread! That game was Teh Debbil before Bloodlines was Teh Debbil. I did the free trial, at the urging of a friend (who, of course, was collecting subjects. TE players collect subjects like Bloodlines players collect souls.) The dang thing nagged me all the time with messages, offers, choices, moves. When I was trying to build. When I was trying to chat. When I was trying to emote. When I was trying to shop. It's worse than telemarketers. When the free trial expired and it asked me if I wanted to pay a modest fee to continue this Big Fun, the decision was easy, and my Trash folder was waiting. You beat me to it and I had not read this far- ditto that- except I was lucky enough never to even try it. _____________________

Wait, there is a modest fee for TE? How much is this fee? It's 800L to get the full HUD. You can get started for free and when you hit 10 acres you have to get teh HUD. zbut no worries on that. If you join me, i'll buy you the hud |
