i used to REQUIRE 9 hours of sleep a night. suddenly i can go 6-7 for many nights in a row, and then need to squeeze in an 8 hour night. if i get less than 6 people hate me. a LOT.

I know I'm a little late on the dancing topic, but I have *never* said no to a dance request in RL or SL. I've never been sorry, either, but I have had some unusual dance partners. I'll have to take pictures in future...

And yet and still (as they say down south), I danced alone at the Valentine's dance, but that was okay.

I am over my bout of flu, thank you very much. Hope I didn't pass it on to any of you! What a headache! (literally) I think it'll be a few days before my stomach can take any coffee, even though the rest of my body is crying out for it.

But what's really been happening to me (in SL) is that my alts' lives have really taken off. At first I didn't know what to do about it. Key is my main account, not an alt, and I love being Key, but some of my alts are so nice and have such interesting lives...

And I get SO involved, so easily, that suddenly I find myself with three second lives to live.

I'm going to cut one life back... I have to. Not end it, but I really can only manage one alt, I realize. I mean, one alt with a life of her own.

the best way to control your alts and to take back your main is to never ever let your alts socialize.

they are bitches to be used as tools for such purposes as modelling, camping, posing and testing. they are not allowed to dance or party or wear nice clothes after the shoot.

I think I average about 5 hours of sleep a night since I started SL. The RL wife isn't happy about it but I have to feed my addicton somehow.

I say we all move to a 30 hour day. We all still work only 8 hours and have 22 hours to ourselves. There... plenty of time to sleep for us all and play in SL for as long as we want

I can't even do one alt. It feels like the alt is elbowing in on my time, and then I can't do what *I* want to do.

I was whining in another thread about missing a party two weekends ago...

Well, there was another one on Valentine's Day, same group of friends, and I'd decided to stay away... after all, going alone, dancing alone, and leaving alone are hard enough on an ordinary Saturday... but on Valentine's Day? No way!

Or so I thought...

I made the mistake of buying a hot new dress that day... and it was red enough to pass... so I went to the dance, after Mr. MacMoragh fell asleep. (blushes furiously)

And guess what? By the time I got there, it was OVER already! But that was okay!

Because some people were still hanging around talking, and this one woman almost dragged me bodily into their conversation, and so was kind and complimentary that I was blushing in real life.

Then she swept me away to her island where we talked for a long long time, and it was really nice... nothing else happened, but (just in case!) I felt powerless to resist, which is a very handy feeling sometimes.
