On a hot summer night, would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?

Re: throat vs neck

I wanted to put in the mingled smells of perfume, deoderant and the natural smell of the body. But what do you call body oder without it breaking the mood of the piece? But late in the evening when the perfume is just barely there and the musky smell of sweat rising up from the breasts ... is a very primal smell. Endorphens I guess. But rather than have to keep from breaking out to explain all that I just went for a single word. I did consider neck, but I think I aleady just that word. Besides, throat has a more animal conotation. It's a vulnerable spot we leave exposed only when we want to feel the rush of emotions.

I probably could have worded it better but this is what you get with free love notes written on the fly.

dude, if she got a "musky" smell ya might want to rent "Crying Game" before getting too attached. Or listen to classic Aerosmith at least.

and throat can refer to the outside of the neck...usually in reference to dogs trying to kill one another. just sayin' :p

Wow, is that like a password prompt? Like, you say "There's a sale at Rand's on Fifth Street", and I'm supposed to say "Only when the roses bloom in Mrs. Effert's garden", and that's how we know we're in the same club?

(Vampaerous... you would do well to heed Yosef's words... I for one am beyond just a tad affected at this point. He just spoke volumes with a few chosen words.)

Yosef... if you look closely, you can see, just below the surface of my pale, pale skin, the staccato rhythm of my pulse. Head thrown back in anticipation..

How deep is the throat, and how long are the rose stems?

Awesome song Yosef. ./me dusts off Meatloaf cd and starts singing

Now this is my all time favorite Meatloaf one...

Baby we can talk all night
But that aint getting us nowhere
I told you everything I possibly can
Theres nothing left inside of here
And maybe you can cry all night
But thatll never change the way that I feel
The snow is really piling up outside
I wish you wouldnt make me leave here

I poured it on and I poured it out
I tried to show you just how much I care
Im tired of words and Im too hoarse to shout
But youve been cold to me so long
Im crying icicles instead of tears

And all I can do is keep on telling you
I want you
I need you
But -- there aint no way Im ever gonna love you
Now dont be sad
cause two out of three aint bad
Now dont be sad
cause two out of three aint bad

Youll never find your gold on a sandy beach
Youll never drill for oil on a city street
I know youre looking for a ruby in a mountain of rocks
But there aint no coupe de ville hiding at the bottom of a cracker jack box

I cant lie
I cant tell you that Im something Im not
No matter how I try
Ill never be able
To give you something
Something that I just havent got

Theres only one girl that I will ever love
And that was so many years ago
And though I know Ill never get her out of my heart
She never loved me back
Ooh I know
I remember how she left me on a stormy night
She kissed me and got out of our bed
And though I pleaded and I begged her not to walk out that door
She packed her bags and turned right away

And she kept on telling me
She kept on telling me
She kept on telling me
I want you
I need you
But there aint no way Im ever gonna love you
Now dont be sad
cause two out of three aint bad
I want you
I need you
But there aint no way Im ever gonna love you
Now dont be sad
cause two out of three aint bad
Dont be sad
cause two out of three aint bad

Baby we can talk all night
But that aint getting us nowhere

I'd beg to differ - I would go as far as saying that two out of three of his songs are not just bad, but absolutely terrible. :P

I preferred the stainless kitchen, although it was in need of a little 'life'. A wooden chopping board, a plant, a few pets, a kid's drawing...

@Dakota, you keep bees as pets? I wouldn't call them cute and fuzzy, more like loud and buzzy, but to each his pleasure.

Happy Day to all the mothers! :)

My throat smells of honey.

I'm not a huge fan of Meatloaf, but i don't dislike him, either.

Hope you're all having a nice week-end. :)

I like this 'Congo Rats' expression, (new to me).
