How dense of me!

/me sends a tray of espresso, and an offer for a backrub.

(Moving whole houses is heavy..heavy work!)

/me takes a sip of the espresso.....mmmm, that's good stuff.

/me smiles and makes note to give Jerboa a call to take him up on the backrub. Think I'll need it after all the landscaping tonight! :p

Hooray! We went fishing on saturday, caught our limit on trout (on my part with much assistance from Trout) and today ate a yummy yummy dinner of trout poached in white wine and onions, couscous, and sauteed spinach (all cooked by Trout.) How much FUN can it be??

(This is neither of us, just a Googled pic of a guy in a float tube.]

For some reason, this pic just tickled me...it made me think, once again, of that Darwin Awards lawn chair guy.

Sounds like you and Trout had a fabulous time, fishing for, er..., trout.

(Thought you'd already caught him!! :p;))

I've run out of new comments but I still enjoy your pictures very much. (Ok not so much the ones that feature blood splatter.)

Good morning everyone.

Good morning everyone!

Ok...what's the "keep-Ann-from-eating-me-again" watch schedule?

I need to know who to hide behind. ;)

In other news, Mari's thread has me shopping for a good balloon. Any recommendations?

Woot! You survived your Near Death Experience! For a while there, I thought we were talking to your ghost.

Look, cowboy, I've DONE my stint on Rodent Rescue patrol. If you want to stay alive, stop hiding under the couch and peeping up women's skirts.

As for balloons...I'm still looking. I rode in one of Cubey Terra's last night and it was super fun...burner sounds and lights, full control via chat. But I'm also going to check out what the boffins in Caledon have come up in the way of airships. I saw a pedal-powered one a long time ago that looked really quaint.

Why am I looking? Because of the First Annual Lebettu Lighter Than Air Festival, that's why! Saturday, Nov 8, noon to 2 SL time. Come and fly your lighter than air craft (you CAN bring your blimp, Mari!), or just come and dance on the beach and ooh and aah at the pretty flying things.

Hi there - and what a cute little fella!

The lizard's cute, too. :p

/me blushes

Howdy Maureen. After being gone for 4 days I'll never catch up with the thread, but I gather you are doing some homesteading.

Good morning folks!

I hope everyone here is doing well.

I've run out of butterfly pics for the moment, so I thought I'd share this one. I'm sure a few of you might enjoy chasing him around for a bit.

Kitties...stay away from the lizard. Lizards are bad for kitties!

Nibble Jerboa's toes instead.

Lizard fan here! (What is it about me and critters?- just not the multi legged icky roach things though...)

Thanks 3! I am sure you will look awesome in it- I packed a shirt and undershirt in it and an extra daisy belt. Plus the whole thing is copyable so feel free to tweak to your hearts content. I tried to do a jacket of it for you, but the front gap left more uncovered than that!!! Oh- there are antennae too- I just wasn't wearing them when i took the pick.

Oooh.. wonder what some draped iguanas and lizards wd look like scattered about... nt sure i could swing making a lizard though... hmmm

lol - they are actually very safe. Your center of gravity is below the waterline, and they flex quite a bit, so it's virtually impossible to flip over. They have multiple air bladders, so sinking isn't really likely, and I can't fathom how you could fall out of one. It actually feels like sitting in a big, overstuffed recliner. They are realy, really comfortable. As long as you bundle up and stay warm and dry, it's a great way to go.

I'm glad we were able to limit out. The fish were perfect size for eating - 13 to 14 inches, and nice and fat. They are all stocked out there, so we can't damage any native runs, and it was a beautiful day. What was funny is that the other guy on the lake was having trouble catching anything.

Trout don't know much, but Trout knows trout. :D

No..no...it's a good lizzard. Lizards are perfect cat toys. Much better than furry old jerboas. Yup Yup.

Stick of dynamite tied to a brick. They float right up and you skim off the big ones. It never fails.

(Either that or 20 years experience fishing NW lowland and alpine lakes and an obsessive personality)
