I even remember shortly after that, I asked you to dance at the hangout -- though I did use the excuse that I needed to try a couple of different ballgowns and figure out which one flowed best.

Yes, I just now reread what I wrote. I meant everyone that I had asked. I didn't mean everyone that attended.

Had fun testing the ballgowns with you.

I do not recall now. I might not have asked at the party as I tend to not ask hostesses, they tend to be busy, and/or you were busy and so didn't ask.

OK, completely unrelated to anything, but in my office today, we were talking about funny/silly stories, and I remembered this one.

I have a friend who used to be a travel agent. She would regale me with great stories about things her customers would tell her about, or questions customers would pose when they came in (or called) to book their vacations.

This one still cracks me up.

Woman (in her 30s, if it matters) comes in. She's headed on an around-the-world summer trip. My friend sets her up with airline tickets, hotels, etc.

Customer says to my friend, in a hushed voice:

"Now, um..I use birth control pills. On this trip, I will be crossing the International Date Line.

When that happens, should I take two pills, or no pill....???"




It was all my friend could do to NOT say "please take all the pills in the container, as we do not wish for you to procreate...ever."


OK, you can go back to whatever it was you were doing now. :p
