I really have never seen the glaring facelights everyone complains about. I have seen a couple where their facelight is so bright I can't make out their face and it puts a glare all over the surrounding area. _____________________

Oh, and hair. Have you seen the ones with built in lighting?
When they were made, with the old style viewer, they gave the whole face and head a warm glow. The effect was alot like the original Star Trek cmaera work where theygave a heavy back lighting to all the heroines. But now ... oh dear god it's hedious. Everything turns white around them and dark grey around the edges of the screen. It litereally hurts my eyes to see. _____________________

My weekend starts early this week!
Our office is hosting a farewell reception in about an hour - for a colleague leaving us for the Big Apple. (*shakes fist*) I've been shown the food portion of the menu: Tahini humus and baba ghanoush with colorful vegetables and herbed pita wedges Roasted vegetable brochettes with dijon glaze Thai Spring Rolls - delicate wonton wraps filled with shrimp and seasoned vegetables, offered with plum sauce Empanadas baked with seasonal vegetables and cilantro White pizza slices topped with basil and a trio of cheeses Petite lamb and fennel brochettes brushed with rosemary olive oil Chocolate-dipped strawberries and apricots Assorted miniature pastries and desserts Yes, there will be wine/beer/soft drinks/water I will think of you.... _____________________

RE facelights - don't think I have one and have neer noticed anyone's either- and I do have the area lights thing on.v
Confession: When I started making clothes I did not have the area lights on and had no clue what I was doing- just played with stuff. I have a dress I made using one of the first roses Damien posted here and it has a scarf - well idiot me ticked "full bright" on the scarf. OMG- when I turned on area lights all I could see was this hideous glow on my face that made me look mud encrusted. I thought Damien was being polite because he could never see it. Then one day, at a meeting somewhere- I was told I had a glow about me hehe- they were being kind- I did not glow- I GLOWED!! Like thermonuclear waste! Lesson learned- redid all the stuff to get rid of those errant lights *chagrin*_____________________
